The location of the property was good and the service from the staff was excellent. The bar was good for a drink. The room was a decent size, the only disappointment was the bed which was clearly two singles joined together and it sagged.

A new hotel with unusually friendly and helpful staff. Housekeeping leaves something to be desired. Excellent restaurant. Walking distance from the center.

Great hotel
Fabulous hotel with great service. Rooms are very nice and breakfast decent. Only down side is the rooms were too hot and couldn't be properly turned down. Even when heating was turned off, as the other rooms' heating was on, the room was still too warm

Do not book this place if the booking says it includes a complimentary spa treatment. The spa treatment is access to the sauna and gym. Before our stay I asked what the spa treatment would include, they sent me a list of massages. We booked these in, including a pregnancy massage for myself. When we get there I’m told they don’t do pregnancy massages and I had been hanging out for weeks!! We then had to pay for my partner’s massage as they said it wasn’t included. The hotel staff have been very unhelpful in rectifying the situation. They breakfast choices were also not as good as I was expecting. Not worth the 5 stars in my opinion!

Lovely hotel
We had a great stay - the staff were friendly and very helpful, the spa is lovely and the bar is great. Very good cocktails and cakes, and the beds were really comfortable. It’s a 15 minute walk to the historic areas and near a nice park. Really good value for a bit of luxury.

An excellent hotel in a very convenient location! The staff was helpful and friendly, our room was extremely spacious and the location was ideal for a day of sight-seeing. They also had ridiculously good air conditioning and a great breakfast.

Overall this was a nice hotel, but I definitely would not qualify it as 5-star as it is a little run-down and dated. The staff overall were nice and accomodating.

We stayed at four different hotels across Croatia and this was by far our favourite. Such a clean and beautiful hotel, perfectly located to walk around Zagreb, and the staff was so unbelievably friendly and helpful! Highly recommend!

Best hotel we stayed in our trip. The staff was amazing. They helped us by parking our car at a free parking spot, helped us with directions to shopping, with room upgrade, spa reservation and more.

Far from a 5 Star Hotel
Le Premier is far from being a 5star hotel. Except for the reception/concierge, all the rest disappointed. To begin, there was a vacuum cleaner and a cart full of dirty towels and sheets in the hall all afternoon until evening. The carpet in the hall and inside the room are in dire need of shampooing. The door of our room didn’t lock, as it was crooked. The tissue paper in the bathroom didn’t even have a container. There were only the exact number of towels in the bathroom, not befitting with a 5 star. No complimentary bottle of water. There was a lack of personnel in housekeeping, servers at breakfast and at the bar. Room wasn’t made until 3pm, just 1 server at breakfast and we stayed over an hour in the bar and nobody showed up.

Comfortable beds, great shower and great location. Quiet but centrally located. Highly recommend this hotel. The staff was wonderful. I would only suggest a coffee maker in the room.

Not worth a 5* rating
The hotel advertises itself as a 5 star, which seems a bit of a stretch. On the positive side, service, location and food are good. They gave a free late-checkout and tried their best to cater to our vegetarian food preferences in breakfast. On the negative side, lobby area is too small and chekcin is just two desks next to entrance. Basic things that a 5 star should have, are missing e.g. no hot water kettle, tea/coffee in the room, safe not working, no in-room temperature control etc. Most disappointing aspect was the promise of a "spa service for two" which turned out to be just the access to Sauna?? I chose this hotel over others thinking this service would be value for money, but it was not. When questioned, they did provide a massage session for half hour for one person, but it felt unsatisfactory.

Very clean and friendly staff. I tried to be eco-friendly and left my do not disturb sign on after confirming with the staff that would be sufficient to not have the room cleaned that day, but they still came in.

The restaurant had a great chef! Dinner time was quiet, the pasta and desert were unexpectedly good. I stayed one night because Esplanade was booked that night. Later I stayed at Esplanade for 3 nights but returned to Le Premier for desert one night. The waiter was also very perceptive and gave me good recommendations. You have to try their dinner.
