A surprising find though I am still not sure what the 'pop up' refers to. In this location and with these facilities it's a winner.

I really enjoyed the stay at this hotel even that the bathroom and toillete are shared. It was very clean. My room was quite small but I loved it. The location of hotel is amazing and the prices are acceptable. Friendly staff.

Amazing location and well organised, efficient
Impressed by location and also it is well managed, clean and efficient. It is not a luxury hotel … but it’s comfortable and great value … even for a business trip

ALl good
Cheap for urich. About 100 CHF per night. Two shared WCs per floor and 2 showers per floor. Surprisingly free the whole time. Stayed there between Christmas and New Year.

Great location, great price for Zurich, close to the station and the old town. Room was clean and comfortable, and there was never an issue/wait for the toilet or shower room. The staff were superb and I definitely recommend this place. I'll stay there again

The Krone provided me a safe, clean, no-frills room at an excellent price - and in a great location. The staff was efficient and friendly. The room was small, had no TV and had the use of small communal rest rooms and a small shower room. A classic case of good value, since most hotel rooms in central Zurich cost two or three times as much as the Krone.

Hotel not worth the price
The checkin staff was not friendly and not very friendly. The beds were positively uncomfortable. The room did not have ensuite bathroom. Though on checking closely, the confirmation email did mention this, it was certainly not prominently displayed. The common toilet door could not be locked

I didn't know when I booked that it was shared toilets...but they were clean and not a problem. Room served the purpose at the price, no AC but had fan so was fine. Location excellent. Shower room a little small but overall I would recommend

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Krone! The rooms are simple, stylish, clean and comfortable, and the staff is helpful and friendly. Every recommendation the girl at the front desk gave me was perfect. 10/10 would recommend and stay there again.

Stayed here with my husband and our 3-year old. It took a few minutes to find. Staff is very helpful and accommodating. On our last day, we had to do a tour and left our bags in the common area upon request. Reception took care of it when they arrived and waited for us until we returned in the evening. Close to suprmarket and dining places. Tram is accessible just in front of the hotel. We got a river-view room. Room was spacious for us. :)

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Probably the nicest staff I’ve encountered. The biggest downside was that my room reeked like cigarettes. That made it hard for me to feel comfortable and made it hard for me to sleep.

1st Word War TEL you can't even call it a HO tel, MOtel or squeeze floor, metallic bed, a leaky sink in the room......but the worst is yet to come a shared bathroom and toilet yes a shared ones. I paid my stay $316 for two nights I checked in stayed 10 minutes in this zoo then decided to go away and book at another 4 stars HOTEL for the same price! When I complained to Expedia the manager offered me $50 that was the second joke of my adventure.So don't ever ever ever book with Expedia they are so cheap Klowns to insult you with ridiculous refunds Also never relly on their ads on the Expedia website they advertised this Zoo as a hotel maybe because this is who they are? Expedia managers can stay at this zoo.But not you clients

Good day, We are sorry to hear that our Pop Up Hotel experience could not live up to your expectations and we could not offer you the great stay that we wanted you to have. As you have stated correctly all of our rooms come with shared bathrooms. This is also stated in our room description on Expedia. We are a budget hotel and not a 4 star hotel and therefore also our price for the single budget room that you had booked was around CHF 70 per night. As you have booked a package through Expedia, we would like you to take this issue up with the Expedia agent that has booked it for you. It should be clearly stated how much you have paid for the hotel and how much for the flight and other services on your confirmation. We will also contact Expedia regarding your reservation to make sure their reservation agents are aware that our hotel is a Pop Up Hotel in the budget accommodation sector and not a 4 star hotel. Even though we are a budget accommodation we would like to point out that all of our beds are box spring beds and not as stated in this review »metallic beds». We have furthermore newly refurbished all rooms in December 2019. Best wishes,

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry, there was a misunderstanding about the rooms. It is correct, our rooms do not have ensuite bathroom, but there are several toilets and showers on every floor. As of now, we've never had problem with the warm water, also on the day you were here, we weren't aware of the problem.

I loved the concept of the hotel, they were using local products which had great aroma. Clean facilities and friendly staff. Location is great, there is a tram out the doors of the hotel.

Für kurze Aufenthalte bei warmen Wetter sehr zu empfehlen. Mit der Tram vor der Tür ist alles gut und schnell erreichbar, auch der Hauptbahnhof ist nur eine Station entfernt. In der Nähe gibt es Cafés und Restaurants, diverse Shops und die kleinen Gassen der Altstadt hinter dem Hotel laden zum Bummeln und Staunen ein. Die Matratzen sind für meinen Geschmack zu weich, ich konnte trotzdem gut schlafen, da ich am Tag viel gelaufen bin. Vom Personal an der Rezeption habe ich viele nützliche Informationen bekommen. Herzlichen Dank dafür.
