I pre-paid on expedia and then after checkout was charged again. I called twice and heard three different answers as to what the charge was but no one could send me a receipt. I also was told twice that it was refunded and to wait to see the refund back on my card. After waiting twice and no refund, I finally had to dispute the mystery charge with my credit card company directly. Either my card was accidentally charged or the hotel makes a habit of charging people’s cards and hoping they don’t notice in order to steal. Either way, the matter in which it was handled both times I called was super shady. I’ll never stay there again and I had to change my card number because I don’t trust them not to “accidentally” charge my card in the future.
