Staff went out of their way to offer recommendations or small items (blankets by the firepit, beach chairs, breakfast, pillows, etc) Easy walk to Carlsbad Village restaurants and shops. Beach was sandy and walkable for a long stretch"

"My family stayed here instead of Oceanside. Its a NICE hotel. All the rooms are entered from inside, not externally like a motel 6. The only reason I gave 4/5 stars is because our hallway smelled like weed whole time we were there. Also the hot tub was milky and cloudy when we were there. I'd go back for sure though. We loved the use of beach chairs and umbrellas, and the breakfast was amazing, especially loved enjoying it on the patio overlooking the water.. "
