The sofa bed was possibly the least comfortable "bed" we have ever slept on, they should provide a light mattress to use over it as it's like sleeping on a wooden table. The Bar is very small and quiet so not perhaps for those looking for any kind of social vibe. Location is a nice scenic 15 min walk from main town centre and has nice view...

"A great hotel and we had a great room with a balcony. Sabine at reception is a star too. The restaurant was very nice as well. We only had the one day and night there, about right if you're visiting the castles (book them in advance as they get sold out). I'm sure there's lots of hiking around if that is your idea of fun. The crowds during the day were much more than we expected - though we were there on Ascension Day so we probably should have guessed. "

Close walk to train station and Zugspitze Bahn. Has a pool sauna and steam room but we just stayed 2 nights so no time to use them but they looked excellent. We plan to come back next year and stay longer. We highly recommend Wittelsbacher Hof"
