Room and staff were excellent. The hotel is near a hospital though so…lots of sirens all night (which sucks when you need to have the windows opened.) But overall amazing place to stay!!!!

Had a 1 night stay with my cousin. Our first visit. Hotel was recommended by a friend. Booked 2 single rooms, we were both given twin rooms, which was nice surprise, so plenty of room to spread out. Comfortable bed, super comfy soft pillows. Great power shower. Liked that windows opened. All staff helpful and friendly. So helpful to be able to leave luggage in luggage room. Very convenient for tube and West End. Great breakfast. Will recommend to friends, and come again myself

Nice spot in a good area close to St. Stephen’s Green. There was a lot of construction going on outside of the hotel which was a bit noisy and inconvenient. Friendly staff!

I had a good experience at this hotel. Easy access to transportation, the area is walkable, and close to restaurants. The British museum is just a few blocks away. The room was clean, small but comfortable enough to sleep. We had breakfast everyday at the hotel restaurant, which was great to start the day.

The President Hotel has been thoroughly modernized, with a clean and efficient feel. The lifts are fast, with little waiting time. The front desk runs quickly and well. I was especially impressed by Francesca and Adhi, who checked me in. The President has become my “go to” hotel for stays in Central London. Hotel pros: Near Russell Square tube station, with straight run to LHR. Also on several bus routes. Near many museums, including British Museum. Rooms are a decent size (for a London hotel), especially the double rooms. Hotel cons: No air conditioning, just a fan. I’ve never stayed there on a hot day, but I know that hot days are a problem for most London hotels. No combination safe in room. The rooms at the west end of the hotel are noisy from the 24-hour traffic on Southampton Row (especially noticeable at night). The windows are sound-proofed, but if you want fresh air you’ll have to put up with continual police sirens etc. Try to get one of the rooms facing *away* from Russell Square, which are very quiet. Restaurant is average. It’s obviously very convenient, but there are dozens of other restaurants within walking distance. Overall, probably the best hotel value in the Bloomsbury area. Recommended!

Nice enough hotel room and bathroom. The hotel has put effort into reducing noise from outside with double windows, but have seemingly made no effort to reduce internal noise. Every door in the corridor slams shut and people talking at a normal volume or drying their hair sounds like it’s in the room with you. Bring earplugs!
