Staff from reception to housekeeping were 5-star: very friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful. The breakfast buffet is phenomenal. The location is really good. The facilities are new and well kept BUT the emphasis on technology and design gets in the way of usefulness if two people are sharing the room.
1) IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO TURN ON THE BATHROOM LIGHT WITHOUT TURNING ON ALL OTHER LIGHTS IN THE ROOM. (We asked the staff in order to verify.) Eventually we decided on setting the "nightlight" function, which meant that we never had total darkness for sleep.
2) All room functions (lights, window shades, temp, ordering housekeeping or breakfast) are controlled by the room tablet--which is fine unless, as was the case for us, the tablet isn't working. You can also download the hotel app, but the wifi in the room wasn't always strong enough to use it. (We did eventually get a new tablet from the staff.)
3) The king-size bed is very comfortable, but is placed in corner so the only way out for the person sleeping on the inside is to climb over their partner OR creep down the length of the bed and maneuver over the footboard.
