"Purchased platinum bands staying it would include better alcohol, there was no difference. We were charged at dinner for the better alcohol. Only plus out of it was the room service. The resort overall was great though. I’d go back. "

"I liked the hotel , it was big and nice . It had a lot of dinning options, food was great , a lot of activities . But I will have to make a suggestion, the hotel needs some improvements in maintenance, and cleaning, specially the hallways, and some other areas in general like exterior walls , things like that. Otherwise it was a great vacation. "

"Riu Kukulkán was amazing. Every staff member I encountered was super friendly and professional. The bellman Renee and Hugo were so sweet to me. They were not only helpful with bags they would press the elevator button when they see u heading that way all the times.Check in was smooth I forgot the names but male and female their name tag said training.I arrived around 1pm and surprised that my room was ready. I did Elite which I highly recommend. The room was clean and beautiful (Room1022) with an amazing view. Only thing missing was the bag , tumbler and champagne but that was an easy fix with a trip to the front desk. Next day it was in my room ( no worries). I enjoyed the elite pool and infinity pool the most. The elite pools has a latter and no ramp I saw many reviews complain about that but it wasn’t a problem to me cause I still have young knees plus it’s only 4ft. Now the star of all staff goes to my man Jorge(George) he is the bartender at the elite pool along with Julio who was a Sweetie also. This man Jorge was amazing from our first interaction with him. He went beyond and above for us and everyone at the elite pool. He would go get our towels for us, remember our drink orders. He observed I liked ice chips and would bring me a cup of ice whenever it got low.( I can’t take the heat too much).His energy was always positive and upbeat! I’m a server at a Michelin star high end restaurants in my city and I was impressed with his ability to engage and cater to everyone "

"I enjoyed my stay at excellence. The rooms and property were clean and well maintained. The staff was wonderful. They were very accommodating to my gluten free diet and the food was actually very tasty. Drinks were good- bartenders were great. The shows were awesome- we saw pure energy perform and also the live saxophone. Everyone was helpful and kind. The beach was cleaned up nice with chairs available. We did an excursion to the island which was fun. I have nothing but good things to say about my stay. There were many others we met who had been there multiple times and now i can see why. I would return again. Things worth mentioning- there was good bathroom access in many places if your room is too far. The food had such good flavor in most restaurants ( i didn't try them all) i didn't find the service to be as good at the fancier ones, the service was more attentive and friendlier at the more casual spots. With food sensitivities- eating out can be stressful but this wasn’- foods clearly labeled that i could eat and the servers doubled checked everything. They went out of their way to make me gluten free pancakes for breakfast. towels were available at the beach and pool spots. Lots of little things and activities to do throughout the day. Room service 24/7. In room fridge with drinks. It’s a good drive from the airport, like 25 min or so without stopping so bring a water. The hotel included sailboat was so fun, we saw sea turtles! Coffee/ice cream shop was amazing. "
