It is an older hotel. My room door stuck, so I had to use force to enter. The room and hallways had a strong chemical smell. I ate in the hotel dining room but couldn't put the bill on my room. The waiter said they were not associated with the hotel. I'm glad I brought my wallet to breakfast. The room safe didn't work as no electricity was connected. Being it was Memorial Day, the hotel was basically empty. I asked for a room upgrade when I checked in. The reservationist agreed. I got a room with a window that had a block box around it. Couldn't see anything but a block wall. Maybe the inside of a chimney? Great part of the city. Near food and the canal. It's not a place I would go back to. The place needs some TLC.

I liked the location of the property and the staff. One thing I found odd though was the video in the lobby of the rooms. It looked NOTHING like our room.

My husband and I come into town every year about the same time but each year we are less and less impressed with this hotel. It’s very average quality, the staff is average, amenities are below average. This was probably our last year staying
