"Checked in quickly. Was given free upgrade to a bigger room due to Expedia Gold benefits. Hotel was very sweet to arrange a birthday cake for my husband. Breakfast was not bad but with limited options of 3 types only with a small salad bar and limited bread options. You can also self service, orange juice, milk or coffee. "I found this hostel to be "a posh hostel" and it has a very good location, due to it being situated in the middle of the entertainment district in Taipei. There is a karaoke venue in the building and light sleepers would be wise to bring some quality earplugs with them. Even though I stayed at the hostel during a weekend, I was not in any way bothered by noise from other guests coming back from a night out on the town. The staff kept the hostel clean."

"I would give 4 stars to this property. Although the room is small, it is expected. All the necessity are ready, including slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste, hair dryer...and a bathtub too. We asked if we could pay extra to check in early, even though there was no room available at that time, they tried and moved things around and was able to get us checked in at 9am with just a small early check in fee. We had our much needed rest in the hotel before heading out in the afternoon. I especially wanted to call out Carmen and her staff in helping us."
