“Ideal Hotel”
Ideal place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Agra
“Will go back”
Good hotel with that price tag. Friendly timely response to complaints. Only complaint we had the sheets were not very clean but they changed them promptly. Good room service and great breakfast in the morning. Not walking distance to Taj but we had our own car car so it didnt matter.
“Value for money”
Had a good stay, hotel staff are not as courteous as expected. food is very oily but testy. overall it was value for money.
“Not worth it”
Having stayed in many other beautiful, clean and well-maintained hotels at similar prices throughout India, we were hoping that the Grand Hotel would be a lot nicer than it was. However, we were quite disappointed and frustrated (especially after the hotel driver we had organised failed to pick us up from the airport). We would not be recommending this hotel to other friends travelling to Agra.
“Good service staff good location but noisy and is more like a motel”
General Overall Comments: I found the service staff attentive. The location of the hotel is excellent. However we noticed that our bed sheets were dingy. We also had to change our room due to noise level. we stayed on the ground floor. There are only two floor levels in this hotel; and the hotel had late night weddings and day time activities that were happening right inside the campus of the hotel. In some instances the hotel staff was very loud in night. At one point i had to come out and ask them to lower noise level/conversation. Specifics: *There was a group of school kids who were playing some sport during the evening hours that made it difficult to rest. *There was a kitty party going on during the mid day without any type of notice to hotel residents. Meals: The breakfast that was included in our package was quite good and we definitely stayed in for breakfast. I even called my family to visit us for breakfast and we paid for that. We noticed the uniforms of service staff particularly in dining room was dirty; they need to use bleach or something similar to keep their clothes/bed sheets in hotel rooms clean. Bathroom: Our bathroom was clean, however the shower door was broken and it was letting the water out. We did have hot water but it took a while to warm up but that happened only once. We needed to request extra towels.
