“A great base for the girly weekend”
Myself and a group of girlfriends booked this hotel for a weekend break. The hotel staff are friendly and rooms were top notch. Lovely spa pool on the top floor where we had a relaxing afternoon. The location is very convenient to the old town and marina areas.
“Hospes Amerigo Cant Wait To Go Back!”
I will be going back again. Well worth your money, frendly staff to help you with what you want, they booked me to go swim with dolphins. The rooms are big and very comfortable with aircon.Food was awsome, you can sit in or outside. There are also realy nice places to eat out- the best i found was down by the harbour. The beach is a short walk away. A really nice getaway for couples. Wish i had more time there.Best Hotel in Alicante.

Excellent hotel, large good quality room. Spa was too expensive for us to try out, but looked good.Excellent tolities, including toothbrush comb and a shaving kit! A short walk from everything! Recomended!
“First class stay in Alicante”
We were impressed by this hotel. Rooms are finished to a high-standard. Our room was very quiet - we were not aware of much noise from other rooms or any noise from outside. Beds very comfortable with good quality linen. Rooms were cleaned daily - the room and the hotel reception areas smelled lovely after cleaning each day, and the bed linen appeared to be new each day. The range of toileteries provided was very good, and was replenished daily. Hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. Good facilities including: roof top glass covered small pool, gym, and beauty spa. We had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel, and think we got very good value for the price we paid via Expedia. Location of the hotel is very central and there are many good restaurants within immediate area around the cathedral. Also very short walking distance to marina, promenade, and beach. We have already recommended this hotel to all our friends and family. Only one very minor point is that instructions in room for air-conditioning system are only in Spanish, so it took us a little time to work out how to adjust it to the temperature we required.
“Would certainly go back again”
The hotel was well located for shopping and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and, unlike many so-called "5 star" hotels, this one lived up to its category. We enjoyed the hotel's tapas bar very much. And having a car with us, it was great that there is secure underground parking (at a price).
“Definitely plan to return”
In a central position, less than 5 mins walk to the beach, marina & town. Interesting building, with spotless modern decor throughout. Good sized bedroom, fabulous bathroom with everything you could need - including 3 different types of shower! The roof spa facility had great views & every comfort. Restaurant & bar staff were of the highest standard,with excellent spoken English. Will definitely go again!
“Great place”
Hospes Amerigo is the best hotel in Alicante. The rooms were lovely. Looked at some previous reviews saying the carpets were dirty. This I think is being very harsh. These reviews are not mentioning the great wood located through out the room and hallways which sets off this great place. The staff top up the toiletry goods daily, which I thought was extremely generous. The roof top pool is small but if all your doing is using it to cool off then its perfect. I would also recommend eating at the restaurant next door to the hotel. We left it to the last night to eat there but regretted it as it was so good. Both the hotel and its restaurant I found to be first class.

“Best hotel visited in Spain so far”
This is our second visit to the Hospes Amerigo. When we first visited the hotel in February 2005 not all the Hotel facilities had be been completed; we were perfectly happy then. With the addition of the cool roof-top pool and the excellent tapas bar this hotel has become very, very good, without the matching astronomic prices (with the exception of the aroma therapy treatment, which is pretty pricey).
