“Paradise Revisited”

The hotel is warm, friendly, affordable and clean. If the guest is not looking for a luxuty resort this is a good location. It is steps from the beach and the beach is superb.

“Would go there again!”

It was very reasonably priced for Anguilla. Situated on a beautiful beach. The service was excellent- helpful staff. It has a full kitchen but groceries are expensive in Anguilla. I would recommend carrying some food with you if you plan to cook.

“A treat in the caribbean”

The Carimar beach club was a very nice resort. I stayed in a beachfront apartment overlooking the most beautiful views of the sea. The apt came with a kitchen that was fully equiped and there was a grocery store up the street. There were also numerous top restaurants ranging from local to french/international/American in the area. The hotel was very clean and was cleaned regularly. It was very tranquil environment and promoted relaxation

“Pleasant and reasonable”

The beach access was perfect. In addition, the staff anticipated our needs and were unfailingly helpful. The suite was well-appointed and comfortable.

“Awesome beach and lots of "extras"!”

We loved Carimar! If you want all the extras without the extra price, stay here. For example: complimentary bottle of local rum plus two Cokes when we came, free towels/beach chairs/umbrellas, free snorkeling equipment in many sizes, free internet use, movies, and books to borrow in the guest house, and tennis available. The location is a little far from some of the other activities/sites, but the beach is phenomenal. It's private and quiet but there are also a number of restaurants you can walk to. The unit itself was recently updated with new kitchen cabinets and appliances. There are 2 bedrooms and bathrooms and a spacious living/dining room area. There's also a nice patio area. There is no A/C in the main living area, but the bedroom is ice-cold if you want it to be! Tons of local menus were available for us to browse at the front desk. The staff is very friendly. We would love to come back!

“Absolutely wonderful!!!”

My husband and I stayed at Carimar for our one year anniversary last week. We had a fabulous time. The hotel was great... very spacious, nice furniture, great views and terrific beach. We would definitely stay there again. If you're going in the summer, you MUST rent the AC unit for the bedroom. It gets pretty hot in the room and it would be unbearable without the AC. This isn't a luxury hotel but it's amazing for the $$.

“Beautiful”

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Carimar beach club. The location is beach front, and also close to very good restaurants and a small market. The beach is beautiful with crystal clear, calm water and has great snorkeling near by right off the beach. The room was very large and only wish that they had permanent air conditioning in the entire unit. The staff was extremely welcoming and made you feel at home. We can't wait to go back.

“Extremely pleased”

My recent trip to Anguila and more specifically my stay at the Carimar was very pleasant. The hotel staff was exceptional. The grounds and rooms were well kept. The maintenance staff were pleasant and very responsive. The hotel is located on one of the best beaches on the island, Meads Bay. If I where to make a recommendation, it would be to have air conditioning standard in the rooms. Not sure how comfortable the rooms would be during it's peak season, however during our stay in June, we found it necessary to have the AC installed, at an additional cost. This however did not damper our overall satisfaction because we felt we were getting a good value as their rates were not nearly as expensive as neighboring hotels. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again.

“Great value for the money.”

My wife and I stayed a week at the Carimar from 8/17/11 - 8/24/11. The hotel staff was very helpful in getting us a rental car delivered to the condo. I highly recommend a rental car because the taxi rates to get around the island more than pay for the daily rental. Rooms were very clean and maintained on a daily basis. The location on Meads Bay is outstanding - umbrellas and chairs were waiting for us every morning! We stayed on the second floor and the view was incredible. The only drawback (I hesitate to use drawback) is the main living area is not air conditioned. If you do any cooking, it tends to get quite warm. The kitchen was well equipped and the appliances were in good shape. We stayed at a villa the second week and based on the price, the Carimar is a great value. Would definitely recommend for couples or families.
