“BEST VACATION EVER!”

We stayed at Yepton Estate Cottages for a blissful week. . . From our arrival -- when Gabby welcomed us with cool cloths and a bottle of wine -- to our departure -- where Gabby gave us a book to read on the plane and we stopped Doug as he was driving down the road back to Yepton to share goodbyes -- we had THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME EVER! The studio cottage in which we stayed was roomy, comfortable, clean, and so very charming. It was such a pleasure to awake and fall asleep in such a beautiful place where we overlooked the lake, watched rare birds, and swam in the ocean after a short walk to the beach. Upon our arrival Gabby took us to the store to get all the supplies we needed and Doug came by the next morning to go over the map and suggest places we might want to visit. The cell phone they gave us came in handy on more than one occasion. Their presence was unobtrusive but it was comforting to know that they were there in case we needed them. Antigua is gorgeous and Gabby and Doug helped us get the most out of our experience there. We wholeheartedly and without hesitation recommend Yepton Estate Cottages to anyone and everyone interested in visiting the wonderful island of Antigua. As for us, we will be returning to Antigua and staying at Yepton Estates the next chance we get!

“Yepton Estate cottages - fabulous”

Gabie & Douglas are great warm & friendly hosts, nothing is too much trouble & they will help you arrange a hire car in advance if required. Douglas shares his extensive knowledge of the islands beaches,restaurants and roads with you & we found this invaluable. The cottages are in a lovely quiet location, but are also very conveniently situated close to St John's & the airport. The cottages are reallly well maintained & everything you need is supplied - great extras include satellite tv, a DVD player & music system,beach chairs & ample towels & linens.You can also borrow DVDs & books. I can't recommend these cottages highly enough -we will be back.

“A magical time.”

Well equipped with everything that you could want or need. Very comfortable. I had a one bedroom cottage which felt spacious to me with a suberb kitchen and terrace. Extremely clean. Very good value. Gabriela and Douglas who run these cottages are so helpful, I mentoned being interested in natural history and binoculars, bird and flower books were found for me to use during the week. They helped in so many other ways, I felt like a friend rather than a paying guest. I travelled as a lone female and felt completely safe during the week I was staying there even with no one else staying in the other cottages. there is excellent security on site which was most reassuring.

“Perfect in every way!”

After researching other hotels and all-inclusive resorts, we decided on Yepton for its personal feel. The affordability certainly factored into our decision as well. However, in retrospect, I would have easily paid MORE for the quality of accommodations as well as the love we received at Yepton. I was impressed by many of the previous guest's reviews, particularly the ones praising Gabby and Douglas. They truly bend over backwards to make you feel welcome, comfortable and carefree. Gabby welcomed us with a beautiful bottle of wine. Later, she drove us to the local market where we picked up some provisions for the week. Douglas sat with us and showed us how to navigate the island by car, while pointing out the best beaches, restaurants and sites. We took full advantage of all of their advice and hospitality. BONUS: The day we were scheduled to leave, we discovered that our flight had been canceled. The airline booked a room for us at a large, so-called "all-inclusive" hotel that happened to be very close to Yepton. The other guests, most of whom were in the same refugee situation told us about their experiences during their stay in their respective hotels. Most had decent things to say but my girlfriend and I couldn't help but feel sorry for them. We saw so much more of the island, experienced far more than they ever could just by having the right hosts and guides. It think it's safe to say that we got the most out of our vacation (and money) while staying at Yepton.

“Could this be self-catering perfection?”

Ever been to a place that you're reluctant to tell anyone about as it might become too popular and make future bookings difficult? Yepton Estate Cottages are just such a place. If you're looking for idylic surroundings, peace and quiet, typically tropical climate and hosts that simply can't do enough for you, then it's time you made a booking with Gabriela and Douglas. We had a simply stunning fortnight, starting from the moment we arrived when Gabriela whisked us off to the supermarket in her own car, so that we could get our bearings and stock up on the provisions we would need for the next few days - until we had 'chilled' a while. The cottage was superbly equipped both for sleeping, cooking and recreation - including a broadband connection for those who need to keep in touch, a cd player, T.V., a DVD player and a plentiful supply of DVD's to borrow (for those who want to do other than just read). Douglas was always available to make sure that everything operated as it should, and to supply much needed guidance regarding the island's road system and the places of interest. Yepton Estate Cottages is a place of beauty and sanctuary and we feel priviledged to have been guests there. Thank you Gabriela and Douglas - I fear you haven't seen the last of us!

“Go there”

The best hosts Gabriela and Douglas. From the welcome with cold drinks to saying goodbye with hugs. Rent a car , Gabriela can arrange it and Douglas will provide valuable information about everything in Antigua. The cottage is very well equiped - everything what you may need. The humming birds are perfect company while sitting on the pourch and having a morning coffee.

Lovely place to stay, quiet, sounds of the ocean, fragrant flowers, birds, wonderful place. Everything you need in the cottages, all kinds of appliances. Owners are very thoughtful and courteous. They take good care of you!

“A Wonderful Place.....”

The Yepton Estate Cottages were perfect for us. They are fully equipped, comfortable and clean. There are only four and they are located beside a salt pond that is teeming with bird life. It is just a short walk to the beach. Our hosts were knowledgable as well as gracious. We were very pleased.

Others have said it all before, but we would confirm it. The accommodation and facilities were first rate, and Gariela and Douglas could not have been more helpful. We had a fabulous time.

We really enjoyed Yepton Estate Cottages. It meant all of our needs. You will definitely enjoy meeting Gabby and Douglas. They are wonderful host and hostess. They are four small cottages located on a salt water lagoon. The salt water lagoon has many types of birds in it. There is also a possibility of catching some fish. One of the guest actually caught a fish while we were there. There is a small pool centered between the cottages. We enjoyed laying by the pool and then taking a dip to cool off. Every one of the cottages has a outside barbeque to use. The cottages are fully equiped with all the necessary cooking essentials. Since we didn't rent a car, Gabby was more then willing to take us to the supermarket to get stocked up on some food. We really enjoyed lounging and relaxing at Yepton Estate Cottages. It's a short 5 to 10 minute walk to a sandy beach. We went to the beach at least every other day. We wanted to book some excursions and Gabby was more then willing to do this for us. Yepton Estate Cottages are a prefect place to just relax or as a jumping off point to explore beautiful Antigua and Barbuda. If you get a chance, we would recommend doing the day trip to Barbuda. It's a beautiful island and well worth the expense to see the pink sand. Overall, we had a great time at Yepton Estate Cottages and will recommend it to all of our friends.
