"Good to have close access to Ao Nang beach, restaurant, shopping streets, Railway beach and local/ street food shops.. Reasonable n budget price to stay for backpackers.."

"The style of the rooms is very nice but the mattress and pillows were very hard. There is no lift or offer of help with your luggage. I have a 35kg case and it wasn’t great. The food area is left open to flies and the fish wasn’t refrigerated so I’m unsure on the hygiene standards being very good here, along with the risk of contamination."

"Overall would recommend. Beds were comfy and aircon was good if you cranked it. Nice private bunks. Bathrooms were a little grimey, but manageable. Pretty big language barrier with staff, were not helpful with travel plans. They were very sweet and wanted to help but have limited English. Right night to 7-11 and a manageable walk to the beach. Pretty quiet at night too!"

"Sadly most of the staff was unfriendly (except one guy who showed us our dorm room) and not motivated to interact with residents or help (some even ignored the guests). Lots of the inventory (e.g. showers or dorm room beds) was broken and needed repair, but no one seemed to care. Also, it‘s one thing to set up strict rules, but the other thing is how you communicate them to the guests. We didn‘t feel welcomed and were happy when we finally left."

"The place is basically inside a club, with MEGA loud music till 2 am and then drunk people running around, we lost our credit card so were stuck 3 nights, if you want to party and be drunk and sloppy this is your place. The staff is excellent, both morning and night staff are amazing, the night girl in front desk is the best in all of Thailand, she was very helpful. "

"This hostel is at Palace Aonang, in case you can’t find it on the map. Very clean and quiet hostel with all the amenities you need. Staffs are nice and accommodating. Good location to all the tour agencies, beach and restaurants. Optional breakfast is great with various selections. I enjoyed staying here and even decided to extend my stay!"

"The beds are hard like stones. I needed to change the hotel because my full body was hurt. And i have to say i never struggled with back problems before! Location very far away from the beach. Staff never smile."

"My sister and I stayed at Oh I Sea for 2 nights in the family room. The staff was warm and welcoming. The owner helped us organize a trip to Hong Island and our shuttle back to the airport. The hotel was clean and the A/C worked great. Only downfall is it's a tuk tuk ride to/from the beach which can get expensive (100-300 baht each way). We rented a motorbike from Oh I Sea which worked out great! Overall, we had a nice stay. No complaints! Thanks for hosting us! "
