“I'd book again.”
This hotel has many wonderful amenities. It's very close to the airport for those of us staying a short time. I was there in early March so the large heated pool and jacuzzi were a real plus. Swimming in the beautiful cavern was amazing. The fact that it was on several bus lines was a real plus as was the fact that you can walk to the Swizzle Inn and the Crystal Caves. While it was too cold while I was there, it's nice that there is a watersports facility on site, including kayaking and scubadiving. The beach is small but the children looked like they enjoyed it. It appeared to be children friendly. Visitors should know ahead of time that the hills and stairs to and from rooms is a bit of a climb. Overall, it is a lovely option.
“March Trip to Grotto Bay”
The hotel is clean. The from our ocean view room was beautiful. The caves were more impressive than I expected them to be from the pictures, and you can swim in them! We went in March, but the pool was heated and warm enough to swim in. Their beach is a little small, so during the busy summer months I can imagine it would be crowded. Since we were there in March there was plenty of room on the beach, at the pool, and in the dining area. The food at the hotel is expensive, but a warning to all travelers to Bermuda- all of the food all over the islands is fairly expensive. We really enjoyed our stay at Grotto Bay, and i would go back any time!
“Excellent”
Beautiful setting, great value! Very accomodating to all of our requests,
“25th Anniversary”
Even though the hotel is close to the airport, there is no noise from the planes. The view of the bay from the rooms is tremendous and very comforting after a long day sightseeing. The housekeeping staff responded promptly to our concern of a non-working refrigerator on our arrival. They also did a wonderful job cleaning the room each day and were very thorough. The breakfast buffet offered each day is a great deal for the money and the service in the Hibiscus Room was very good. The waiter we had the most was named James, and he did a wonderful job of being attentive and friendly. The only complaint we had about service was on our first night in we ate at the Palms Court and the service was very slow, although the food was good when we were finally able to order it. We had the priviledge of getting to know Esme of Guest Services, She had a way of making you feel like family. She was very helpful in giving us ideas of what to do while we were there, and even called us from her home when she realized one our our bus connections may not be able to be met. The front desk was very helpful with the exception of one day we were out at Clearwater Beach and called to get a taxi to pick us up and return us to the hotel. After 25 minutes we called back to find out what happened to the taxi and found out the girl never forwarded the request to the doorman who notified the taxis. Our second call solved the problem. Other than these two problems we would give the service 5 of 5.
“Have to Like Roosters”
We really enjoyed our stay at the Grotto Bay, although it was difficult to sleep at night. The roosters crow 24/7, right outside your room. Our room was very nice and the staff there were excellent. All facilities are as advertised. Nice private beach, good food, although only one other restaurant in walking distance. If we go back, we will probably try to stay where there is not a rooster problem.
“Grotto Bay - Out of Way - But Worth it!”
The Grotto Bay Hotel was great. Nice room, friendly and helpful staff. Good food! Altough not on the south shore by the beaches, the hotel is great for those who prefer to enjoy peace and quiet (which they do not get in Hamilton) and still be within a short distance of Hamilton and St. George. Best Bonus - right next to the original Swizzle Inn and thus you can swagger out and back to the hotel in no time.
“Great place to stay”
We stayed in Groto Bay Beach Hotel for five nights. The hotel is very clean and the staff is very helpful. Great breakfast. Since we are vegetarian, the food choices were limited as in any other place. The bathrooms are relatively small but that did not pose any problem to us. In all other respect the place is great. No surprises. Easy access to bus service and crystal caves. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets. We will certainly stay again.
“Beautiful Resort”
Loved the bathroom in the room. Very spacious room, Beautiful beach and very secluded. Bus stop right out in front of hotel. Swizzle Inn within walking distance. I would definetely stay there again.
“it was a beautiful place to stay food very expenvice”

“Great Resort”
Everything you want in one place. Beach, water sports, pool, jacuzzi, restaurant, and bar.
