"Found the hotel from a magazine review and booked it for reasons of being a bit special with the design. The stay was refreshing and hotel staff was really helpful and welcoming also breakfast with a la carte eggs menu was one of the best breakis I’ve had! 25 min walk to the beach, got upgrade to something like a 50sqm room. Great recommend for a night or two 👌"

"Words don't do justice to our amazing week long stay at the Elysian. It is a beautiful resort, with amazing villas. You could easily stay within the resort for your stay with the great villa pool or the main pool always enticing. Tasty breakfast each morning with great selections and options. The meals throughout the day and options on the menu are also great tasting (along with the cocktails). The location is perfect - walkable to all the key places in Seminyak (shops/restaurants/beach clubs)...

"Let’s start with the positives. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location was good. The condition of the property is very run down, it wasn’t clean or maintained consistently around the pool area. The photos are pre Covid which the manager admitted to when I complained about the property not being presented as it is in Expedia. "Lovely villa in very quiet area of Ubud. If you were looking for a secluded place to get away from every day hustles, this is the place to be!! The wifi connection was decent. The location was very inconvenient if you want to explore central Ubud and only one dining option available within the resort. Some of property features were "overkilled" I thought, like outdoor shower, toilet and living area. Certainly they did add "charm" but when raining, practicality and inconvenience took over. But...

"The property itself is beautifully maintained. We stayed in a one bedroom villa & were thoroughly impressed. The staff went above & beyond to make sure we were happy our entire stay. Each morning a chef came to us to cook us breakfast. Each night they came & offered turn down service. The only issue for us personally with the villa was the toilet. "A unique property for sure, however the rooms are very dark, there was construction on the property when there (building a yoga building) morning to night noise, there is not a lot of privacy as the rooms all open to common areas. very expensive for what it is. We booked a massage and specifically hung around for it only to be told that they gave our time to another guest but did not say sorry. STaff are not friendly. "

"Located near the north part of Seminyak, the L Hotel was not very near to the beach clubs. However, there are quite a number of good restaurants around the corner. The breakfast was very good as you could choose American, Indonesian, Continental and Vegan. The coffee here was super good, plus the omelette and the charcoal baguette.
