Top Banff Hotel Reviews

Canalta Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"Canalta Lodge is great! It’s not “downtown” so it’s very calm & quiet outside. Btw, downtown is a short 10 min walk, or even shorter ride on one of the Roam buses. I stayed in a decent-sized room with 2 queen beds; the only downside there was the closet space is tiny, especially if you’re bringing jackets. Besides that, though, the room served its purpose and the staff was helpful the couple times I had questions. The complimentary breakfast came in clutch every morning as we prepared to head out and explore Banff National Park. Would def. stay in Canalta again."

Banff Rocky Mountain Resort
10/10 Excellent
"good location , we had a 2 bedroom suite. The only thing was there was a strange smell in the rooms . It had a full kitchen ,2 bathrooms with showers . nice wooded location but on the main road to downtown . in the morning there was a view of the mountains through the trees . short drive to downtown . if it wasn't for the smell this place would be excellent. Off topic but if you want to go to lake louise , you need to be at the parking super early , if not there are parks canada shuttles that you need to book on line , we didn't know ."

Elk + Avenue Hotel
8/10 Good
"Walking distance to downtown is great."

The Fox Hotel and Suites
8/10 Good
"This location has some great perks: the hot pool is amazing and relaxing after a long day of hikibg. The free underground parking is a bonus and they provide free Roam bus passes, with a stop right out front. This is something you definitely want to take advantage of to get around town without needing to drive and pay to park at other spots. There is an elevator so you will not need to carry luggage upstairs. The gym and free wifi were also great. There was a little inconvenience of not being able to have the blinds open, due to the walkway being directly past the rooms and the view into the room. Staff were very helpful and friendly as well as efficient, there was no wait when needing to ask staff for assistance. There were even umbrellas available to borrow as it was a bit rainy. Overall, a pleasant stay with great perks."

"The mattress pad made a lot of noise!"

Banff Park Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"Hard because of construction room was great beautiful view off the deck. very comfortable . Easy access to shops and restaurant. Great area as a home base for travel and sight seeing"

Banff Inn
6/10 Okay
"I know Banff is expensive, but for this very expensive room, it was mediocre in most ways: window looked out onto stucco walls and electrical; the outlets in the room were poorly positioned (to watch TV you were expected to unplug the coffee maker); amenities were minimal; cleaning was fine. Breakfast is an expensive $27 buffet at a restaurant two doors down the street (the hotel "gives" you a $15 voucher, but you're required to pay an extra experience fee, so you've paid for half of the breakfast up front, whether you want to or not)."
