A $10 million renovation in 2003 enhanced the spacious lobby, styled in pink-and-oyster tones, with thickly cushioned mahogany furniture, while retaining the open-air atmosphere and views of sea and sunset that guests prize. Among the hotel's treasured legacies from the 1940s is an entrance corridor framed by 100-foot Royal Palms leading to a lily-pond fountain in an open courtyard just off the reception area.
Guests enjoy 2 restaurants, a lounge, and a daily breakfast buffet (surcharge). The hotel features an outdoor pool, a fitness facility, and 2 outdoor tennis courts. Complimentary wired and wireless Internet access is available in the lobby. A shopping section contains clothing boutiques, a jewelry shop, and a gift shop. This Barbados hotel calls outside specialists for in-room massages, facials, and other spa services. 2 meeting rooms include audio-visual equipment. Laundry facilities are also on site.

“Loved, loved, loved it!!”
This was one of our favorite hotels ever. We were on our honeymoon and after much indecision about where to go, decided on Barbados and the Royal Pavillion and what a great choice! The hotel is not a huge, fancy extravaganza with 8 pools, but it is a beautiful boutique hotel with understated elegance, great comfort, a fabulous staff and incredible scenery. Gorgeous beach and gardens. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and all balconies look out onto the ocean and sunset. It was peaceful and relaxing. The staff were like our friends by the time we left - so gracious, genuine and attentive. We could not have asked for a better honeymoon and it's all thank to the Royal Pavillion!!!!
“Exelent place for relaxetion. Exelent service and accomadations with a”
Excellent service and accommodations with an old charm. All rooms are water front with the grate view. Very private setting. It's Hotel - Boutique, Hotel-Garden. There's an old English tradition of the afternoon tea, which is free, with the best scones, other baking creations and tea sandwiches, charming and very tasty. The atmosphere is very warm, every single person is important, people, who are working there, make you feel as a dear guest.
“Exactly what we needed”
The Fairmont Royal Pavilion was exactly what my fiancee and I needed to get away from the stress of everyday life. The staff was extremely accomodating and the grounds are lovely. The beaches are beautiful and the food was tasty. If you're looking for a vacation where you can completely 'get away from it all' I recommend this hotel in Barbados!
“Beautiful”
This is a wonderful place! The rooms are all ocean front. The beach is literally outside your window. Large sliding glass doors open onto a spacious balcony that is perfect for watching the sun set. The staff is extremely pleasant and helpful. We sat on the beach most days. The water is so calm and clear, perfect for swimming or snorkeling. Unusually ruff seas brought us to the pool on our last day. This too was a pleasant experience. Some green monkeys came to visit, as they apparently do from time to time. They seem comfortable enough with the people to allow you to photograph them, but not so bold as to approach you directly. We loved the ocean front breakfasts at Taboras. Afternoon tea was also lovely. The Terrace restaurant is very good, and there are many excellent restaurants a short taxi ride away.
“Ready to be pampered!”
The staff throughout the hotel were extremely courtious and polite. We had no worries and felt very pampered. The beach was awesome and nicely private. It is the best of the best!
“First Class Stay”
The Fairmont Royal Pavilion was first class from the greetings and welcome coctail to the personalized service, the wonderful staff, the water sports and the gorgeous room, beach and water. What a hidden treasure. I would definitely return to this gem in the Carribbean.
“Very pleasant stay”
We were very pleased with the Royal Pavillion. Very nice beach-front location, nice rooms, though they could have been a bit larger. Outdoor patio facing the beach. The staff was very pleasant and friendly, especially Peter who waited on us several times, and Ann the concierge. Our only complaint is the lack of casual dining options ofr dinner. We were forced to go to town for a casual dinner.
“The Fairmont Pavilion will knock your sox off, BUT...”
Most everything at the Fairmont Pavilion is accurately tuned to the highest quality. I will go back there asap. The food and service at the Taboras Cafe in the hotel (and right on the beach) are great. The breakfast buffet is awesome! However, beware of the Palm Terrace dining room. The food is barely mediocre and the service is just deplorable. It's so sad because your first glimpse of this magnificant dining room on the water will just take your breath away.
“Lovely property”
The hotel was beautiful, and the staff was very attentive. Rooms and bathrooms were very elegant, and the view from the balcony was superb. The only drawback is the location--without a car, taxis are necessary to get anywhere, and that became quite expensive.
“Outstanding Hotel”
Just returned from a 7 day vacation staying at the Fairmont Royal Pavilion. This is truly one of the best hotels in Barbados, the staff is extremely attentive, courteous and very customer oriented. The facility is gorgeous, the rooms have an unbelievably beautiful view of the water and every room faces the water---fall asleep each evening listening to the surf. The beach is very nice and I can honestly say I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be pampered, treated well and have access to every resource possible. The Royal Pavilion is a truly enjoyable place to stay, eating in both dining areas is an experience that no other hotel can match.I would definitely stay at this hotel again. While pricier than other hotels you will not be disappointed in any way, very worthwhile.
