“My holiday at Laru Beya was 'the best'”
We were exceptionally lucky to have chosen to stay at Laru Beya in April 2009. We received excellent service before, during and after our stay. Before the stay we were given advice to help us plan, during the stay the staff were extremely helpful in making our stay as pleasant as possible, and even after our stay we received a follow-up email. In addition, our room was clean, spacious and the air-conditioning worked well. The rooms had great ambience with typical Belizean colours and artwork. The staff were genuine in their effort to provide a wonderful holiday - I cannot thank them and most importantly Lizabeth for an absolutely fabulous stay.

Lary Beya is gorgeous! The place is amazing, so luxurious. The rooms facing the ocean are especially amazing! The hammocks and lounge chairs off your personal porch were pretty amazing! The pool is beautiful and right by the ocean, this was so different. I have never seen something so beautiful! The manager Liz really made our stay special. Her hospitality and helpfulness was greatly appreciated. She helped us with travel plans, figuring out buses, getting down to the village and any other questions we had. She really went above and beyond to make our trip special.

The staff was spectacular, very friendly and accomodating to our needs. Lizbeth did an excellent job of arranging our expeditions, our guides took their time and made the most out of our tours. Security made rounds throughout the evening ensuring that everyone was back home safely from their day adventures. Our room was perfect, only steps from both the pool and the sea, very spacious and clean. Would highly recommend, and hope to return again.
“great place to stay”
Tourism has been really slow in Belize this summer and as a result there were very few travellers at this resort. The management were great and upgraded me from a garden view room to a luxurious ocean front suite. I would definitely return to this resort.
“AWESOME”
The Junior Villa was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bed was as good as my bed at home. The views were fabulous and the hammock provided a place to just take it all in. You could be as busy as you wanted to be. The staff arranged for sightseeing and even added the fees to our hotel bill without charging a fee to do that!!! They gave us rides into the Village or arranged for taxi for us. If you're going to Placencia.....Laru Beya is where you will want to stay!!
“LaruBeya”
This hotel was extremely comfortable. The staff was very courteous, friendly and very accommodating. The hotel which sits right on the beach was very clean. The food at the restaurant was excellent. My only disappointment was - no telephone or television in the room - as it turned out we never missed it - overall - I would definitely go back to LaruBeya.
“Beautiful”
The location of this hotel in relationship to the beach is pure perfection. They have a wonderful pool twenty feet from the ocean and miniature golf. The rooms are very nice and super clean. The A/C is ice cold and the shower is piping hot. WiFi is available at the pool and in the hotel restaurant, public access computer is available in office 7:00am to 5:00pm.
“Laru Beya Advantage”
Overall, we had a very nice time for our honeymoon. But the first, know that if you stay at Laru Beya Garden view you may get a very small room 9x9ft with bathroom, no tv and no chairs in room. We got an upgrade after the third day to a room that I was expecting. Thank you, Elizebeth! This made the trip much more pleasurable! Now, the travel to the placenia that Laru Beya is on, threee ways from the belize city airport which you will arrive; one way another airplane trip cost around $100 per person; cab around $300; and rent your on vehicle for about $500 depending on your stay. We rent a vehicle, then we had the opportunity to do our own sightseeing for much less than resort cost. We had alot of funny! The staff at Laru Beya was very helpful! Thank you!
“Can't wait to go back!”
We had a wonderful stay at Laru Beya. Having a kitchen was wonderful because we were able to cook the fish we caught. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Biking into town was fun and enjoyable. We only wish the maids would have come sooner in the day and cleaned a little better.
“Laru Beya is a little slice of heaven”
We found Laru Beya to be an amazing and beautiful resort. The room we stayed in was very large, clean, and beautifully decorated. Ammenities were luxurious for any destination and the views from the living room area and bedroom were stunning. The porch had a swing, hammock, and lounge chair which were very comfortable and perfect for gazing @ the ocean. The staff was helpful and very friendly, helped us arrange cabs etc.The restaurant is beautifully crafted, food was spectacular, and we LOVED their breakfast smoothies. My guess is that a lot of time and planning went into the design because everywhere you are within the resort area has a great view of the ocean. If I go back to Placencia, I will most definitely be staying here again!
