Hot tub and pool were not posted as being closed on Expedia. That was an actually reason to stay there. My room cleanliness was fine, no complaints. Property is a little beat up. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Fix the Coke machine, thats a must!

Room was not clean, smoke detector no battery, shower handle was not functioning properly, splatter on the walls, fridge was not cold even after turning it up. We booked a jacuzzi room for an extended Valentine’s weekend. The room was clean, comfortable bed, and as pictured. The staff was nice & helpful. Our only complaint is that we were wanting to enjoy the pool. It was shut down for a complete renovation. We wouldnt hesitate to wtay again.

Also the pool and hot tub are both out of order at the time which was disappointing bc it was one of the reasons we booked this hotel. Walking in, the smell was strong chlorine and … something else. Not sure if they were trying to “hide” other odors. We were greeted by two men. One older gentleman was “in training” by the younger one, and he was speaking non English (my guess is Pakistani). Check in took longer than it should have, but they were nice enough. Kudos to both men: the younger showing much patience (I assume) and the older for willingness to learn something new. It was a little unnerving to hear a language I couldn’t understand. We always like top floor rooms because of experiencing heavy-footed above guests during the night. They put us on the first floor because the elevator was broken. The room was nice; larger than we thought it would be. It had a jacuzzi type tub right in the room, but we didn’t utilize it. The bed was hard, the pillows inadequate and sheets smelled weird. A/C worked great. Shampoo bottle, conditioner bottle and body wash bottles were all empty; which was discovered AFTER I got into the shower. The shower tub was slick and had no grab bar. I did slip coming out but managed to catch myself before doing the splits in the bathroom. Shower itself adequate. Towels also smelled funky. Breakfast was mainly intolerable. Instant eggs were burned and inadequate and the OJ was outright nasty. Tables were placed so closely together you were standing on top of each other where the food was located. Will not be staying here again.

It was a great room. Very clean. The carpet in the hallway had a crack in it where two different kinds of carpet met. It stated there was a pool and hot tub on Expedia i did not see where they were not working. I was a little disappointed.

One of the Best Stays in New Buffalo! We had a fantastic experience at the Baymont in New Buffalo, MI. The staff went above and beyond—super friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. What really stood out was the pool and jacuzzi—hands down the nicest in the area. Clean, relaxing, and perfect after a long day. This property was no frills, great location to the town of new Buffalo and Four Winds Casino. It was slightly outdated. In fact, it was pretty outdated, but it was clean, the rooms were large, the staff was super nice and it did the trick.! I would stay there again!

The room seemed clean but had a smell nome of us enjoyed. The tile was missing from the counter top in the bathroom. And the pool and spa were down for maintenance. They did let us drive next door to the quality inn and swim but the hot tub was dirty and had grime on the walls and i saw green, what i assume was fungi, in the bubbles of the hot tub. The breakfast was not very good i know its free but conpared to other free breakfasts there was less options and the quality just wasnt as good. They did allow a free late check out time at 1 pm which was convenient but i wouldnt recommend.

There was dust on the lamps, spoiled milk in the fridge for breakfast, the soda machines did not work and housekeeping barged in when we had the Do Not Disturb sign on the door. I also had to clean a big wad of black hair off of the side of the shower wall. The pool looked nice.

Manager and older gentleman who helped with cleaning and breakfast room were very nice and helpful. Some of the ladies at the front desk were short and even rude. Had issues with some of our families room keys which were replaced but we had to go get them and they were not apologetic about the situation. The room was clean and the cleaning lady was kind and good. Hotel could use updating. Overall we had a ok visit there but would probably try another hotel when we return there.

I’m sure this hotel was nice when it was built. But it has aged. Rooms are clean, except for the carpeting. Attempts have been made to keep the plumbing fixtures up to date. Room furnishings are not of top quality and worn, but adequate. Carpeting in the other areas of the hotel needs cleaning—probably replacement. I found the hallways and nearby rooms to be somewhat noisy. In general, the hotel is ok, but fits solidly in the “budget” category. However, there are worse.
