“Beautiful hotel and excellent customer service”
My sister and I had a lovely over night stay to sample the Spa at the Runnymede-on-thames. From the moment we checked in, the staff were very welcoming and helpful. We were upgraded on arrival at no extra cost to a double with Riverside view. The room was very nicely decorated and clean. The only negative was it was a little on the small side compared to other hotels of similar rating, but not really a problem. The bathroom was beautiful and spotless, but again a little on the small side. We had dinner at one of the Restaurants at the hotel, which was buffet style. The food was nice, but not a huge selection. The Spa facilities at the hotel are lovely. There is a pool and a separate shallow area for small children. Also a steam room and sauna, both very nice. There is a large selection of treatments on offer and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The Runnymede is a lovely hotel right beside the River, with excellent facilities. I would definitely stay there again.
“Comfortable and great location”
Quite pricey compared to other similar standard hotels in the area. Great location. Rooms 'somewhat' cramped fro the money. Great for after meal walks along the Thames.
“Excellent Service and Good Value for Money”
The hotel is very conveniently located and the servie is a very high standard. The facilities - bar, restaurant etc are all of an excellent standard and the staff extremely helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable although a little small.
“Small Room”
We booked a room with a river view but were very disappointed with the size of the room, it was small and a bit claustrophobic. Also the carpet was stained and the wall marked, we then looked at the bedding and found old make-up on the duvet cover and long black hairs in the bed! We immediately complained and the duty manager quickly responded by moving us to a larger room which we were quite happy with. The other comment we would make is that although the downstairs areas have been refurbished the stairways and corridors upstairs now also need updating.
