“GREAT hotel for the price”
Stayed here on business. Great deal for what you get. Location is awesome. No internet other than the lobby area, where there is wireless. Otherwise a good deal for what I paid (about 59 Euros a night). Wouldn't pay much more than that though. Lots of other decent hotels in the area as well.
“Great location and service”
We stayed at the Hotel Zoo over the Christmas holidays. The rooms were well designed, clean, and larger than we expected in Europe. The location was excellent - easy to make bus, train, and subway connections and close to important sites and the best shopping in Berlin. We needed help in getting dinner reservations on Christmas Eve, since so many restaurants were closed. The staff found us a perfect place for dinner, close by. The breakfasts at the hotel are outstanding.
“Excellent service in brilliant location - great value”
Superb welcome. Huge room, slightly dated but very clean and comfortable. Took miy 82 yr old mother who cannot walk far. Hotel within easy tottering distance of buses and underground. Bus from airport dropped us just around the corner from the hotel. We arrived at 10pm and felt entirely safe. Brilliant shopping area, plenty of food choices within 100 metres. Hotel has superb glass foyer and bar on mezzanine. Breakfast was on offer at 10euros and was full hot and cold buffet with loads of choice. Service throughout excellent. Will return with husband.
“Great Location”
Excellent location for shopping and eating, cafes within 2 minutes of the hotel. U - Bahn 1 minute away. Tea & Coffee - take a travel Kettle. Pillows are feather if you have allergies.
“superb hotel in outstanding location”
Berlin is spread out, so one making a first visit there does not know where to stay. Being on the Ku'damm is great, a busy street, but the hotel is quiet, and the location could not be better. bus 109 from tegel stops steps from hotel, which is steps from the U1 train, 0.3 km from S-bahn Zoo. Room not large, but had everything needed for comfort. only criticism is that internet access is a bit pricey, but there is 24-hr internet next to the S-bahn station. lots of good restaurants in area, superb shopping, many cultural attractions nearby. friendly desk staff, helpful. spent a week there, absolutely would go back. did not try the hotel breakfast, as there are numerous cheaper places nearby, including fastfood types at train station, starbucks, and restaurants. Expecially enjoyed Reinhard's nearby, with great food. only quibble is that rooms have body wash, so if you need regular soap, shampoo, and conditioner, bring your own. The people of Berlin are sophisticated, and the majority speak multiple languages. They are friendly, helpful, and great hosts for visitors.
“A Friendly Place To Stay”
The staff were extremely helpful with directions and information. The hotel was clean and quiet and close to the subways/shops. Great breakfast buffet. The rooms were basic but very clean. Hallways have wierd, overly strong lighting. Getting a late check out was no problem.
“Cant beat the location!!!”
Location wise there is not a better hotel. The public areas were modern, while the bedrooms were large, tall ceilings but a bit of a throw back from the 70s. Room had a mini bar, bathroom had double sinks, shower, bath, shampoo. Rooms were clean and serviced every day. There is no bar a such in the hotel you order drinks from reception. On a Friday & Saturday the hotel put a bar out on the street which is great. If your room is ready the hotel will let you check in early, if its not they will lock your luggage away. Food wise in the hotel we dident eat there it seemed expensive and they are not really geared up for it, but why should they when you are surrounded by places to eat!! Great hotel if we were to go back to Berlin I would stay there again. Your right in the thick of things, and an easy train ride from the airport.
“Fantastic”
Ridiculously good location a 20 second walk to the subway, beautiful surroundings, i booked a stanadard room with my boyfriend and was satisfied for the price, staff were extremly helpful, chasing up resaurants for booking. A very nice surprise, not many decent photos of the place. We both highly recommend.
“A good Hotel in an ideal location”
This is our second stay at this hotel, service is excellent, we arrived at 9am and the room was available right away. They held our bags on departure until 7.00pm again it was no problem to the Hotel staff. Due to industrial action at the Airport we had to cancel our first nights stay at 7hours notice again no charge and no problem. The room was large with a seperate dressing room area.
“Great location”
This hotel is centrally located and has public transport, shops, restaurants,an internet cafe and some interesting sights right at its doorstep. The breakfast room was extremely crowded on the morning we tried it,and staff had trouble keeping up with supplies. However, there are lots of other places nearby that serve breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable, but a little noisy, as traffic in Berlin never stops. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. There was hardly any information about Berlin sights and events in the hotel, and the staff didn't seem very informed about public transport. You might have to go to information stands nearby. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.
