“Perfect place for relaxation”
Small place situated in a quiet area 100 m from the tourist crowds. Charmingly furnished with that old-world atmosphere. Front desk personnel is extremely helpful: you will have a complete impression of staying in a private home and being a special guest. Morning coffee which is brought to your room 5 min after your call is really, really good. Our room was rather small but very nicely furnished, the only thing which was not convenient is WC separate from bathroom. Terrace cafe is actually situated actross the canal, and definitely worth a visit. Swimming pool is not big but in perfect order. Would highly recommend to stay in this hotel as long as you can afford time- and moneywise.
“CHRISTMAS IN BRUGES”
This hotel hs a great location on a canal right in the historic centre. The hotel staff are superb, the facilities, especially pool sauna and retaurant very good. Our family spent three nights over Christmas and had a terrific time.

we have stayed in some of the most glamours hotels in world, . Hotels that have big names and VIPs visit regularly. Unlike this hotel they they all miss something very special, a unquie charm that is very rare and created by its wonderful staff. Well done, excellent.
“Unique Boutique!”
loved everything about this hotel,friendly staff, dramatic interior and artworks on walls. we were upgraded to a room with a canal view and it was beautiful,One minor grumble is that although the double bed was really comfy, as it was 2 singles pushed together,they kept sliding apart at crucial moments!! The room was so beautiful though I didnt want to be moved. Also, the location to explore couldnt be better. I'd go back in a heartbeat.Go!

“A perfect experience of Bruges”
We booked a superior deluxe room with a canal view which was offered at a very reasonable rate, with breakfast included. Breakfast was top class, everything you could possibly want on the buffet with cooked dishes on the menu. It was a rainy day so we asked for a late check out which was granted with a smile and no extra charge, right up until 17.00. As a mark of our gratitude we ate a late lunch in the hotel Restaurant which although virtually empty was absolutely superb and charmingly located right underneath our room with the same canal views. Everything about the hotel was as good as one could possibly expect and better than most. Die Swaene should have 5 stars, not 4.
“Very pleasant stay....”
We had a room overlooking the canal and enjoyed a relaxing weekend in the relatively new Annex just across the water from the main buiding. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Although the menu was not extensive, the food in the restaurant was first class.
“Hotel was disappointing”
Very small room, tiny bathroom, old fashioned. I was originally drawn to the hotel as it was part of the small luxury hotels of the world, but was unimpressed. Room was clean although we had half empty bottle of cream in the bathroom that had not been replaced since the last guest which was not very appealing! Check in was slow. Wasn't worth the money we paid for the nights stay. Wasnt the romantic hotel the brochure shows it to be!
