“Covered every base. Great value”
The special thing about this hotel was that it covered everything more than adequately without any fuss. Comfy, Yes. Clean, Yes. Functional, Yes. Good breakfast, Yes. Good location, Yes. Actually, fat Americans take note, there's no lift, you'll have to climb stairs - practice before leaving home, it's easy really. Just kick the Italians a few times, they move.
“Excellent Hotel to stay and highly recommend to others”
I highly recommend this hotel to whoever travel to Budapest, the hotel location is great, very convenience and surrounding attraction areas, the hotel provides free internet, free safety deposit, staffs are very helpful, breakfast is very good. This is a very good 3 stars hotel in Budapest, I will definitely stay here if I comeback to Budapest.
“Great location”
The hotel is within one block of a major train station and is on the local transit lines including the metro. It is also a block away from one of Budapest's largest malls. An internet cafe is only a block away. It was very convenient. My only regret is that the hotel does not have an elevator. Ask for a room on the first floor. The staff is very helpful and speak English quite well.
“Excellent location and staff”
Location is central to everything we wanted to do and see. Metro and bus station 1 block down. Reasonably priced, nice rooms, wonderful breakfast, helpful staff went above and beyond. Many tours, events and types of transportation can be purchased at reception. Will stay there again and have recommended it to several families already.
“2nd Ring”
Returning to the Ring after 2 years was a great choice. The staff are most helpful, and the hotel's situation is ideal for getting around this marvellous city. Nyugati Pu station, Marget Hid bridge, Parliament, Heroes' Square and the thermal baths at the City Park are all easily accessible. For a good, stylish and reasonably priced 5* meal, go to Klassz on Andrassy just down from Oktagon. Wonderful! The day tickets for the city transport are reasonably priced, and most convenient if you want to visit different parts of this fascinating city. We will be back at the Ring once more. Guaranteed.
“Would go back again.”
The hotel is situated close to Western Station that connects the airport to the City Centre. To walk to the City Centre fron the Hotel takes about 20 mins or alternatively you can travel by Metro which has a station close by. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly and also spoke good English. The hotel rooms were comfortable and had air conditioning which is a must for Budapest as temperatures are in the mid thirty's during August. Breakfast was 'continental' style but there was a good selection. Overall I thought the Hotel Ring was good value for money and I would stay there again.
“Will stay there again”
The location of hotel was perfect for us. Not in a tourist area, but felt more like a neighborhood. Loved closeness to the trams and metro system. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was what one expects in Europe. Only complaint would be size of the shower. Very small, but always hot water and great water pressure! Oh, and about the only noise we heard was from the street. Very quiet!
“Definitely a YES!”
Have booked the stay for the Hungaroring Grand Prix (a couple of days) and everything was as promised: central location, friendly hotel staff, close to all major city attractions. The only thing missing is the elevator, considering the hotel has only 4floors (or 3) which was not that bad after having all that gulash, and kurtos collacs and beers. Definitely recommend it, room service was impecable, everything was neat and clean and the room very cozy. The staff is a great addition and their English is very good. Breakfast is pretty basic, nothing fancy: cereal, eggs, coffee. etc. Perfect for a quick city break, but if you`re into something posh you might want to look for accommodation somewhere else.
“simple”
I've traveled the world since my retirement 10 years ago. This hotel is one of my favorite stays. Not many extras. It is clean and old. Downtown but quiet at night. There is no lift. You will walk at least 2 floors up. Ask for a room with lan access and you will have good internet service (free). Small shower, small tv. Breakfast consists of scrambled eggs, several breads and deli meats and cheeses, also the usual morning cold and hot drinks and more. Restraunts and sidewalk cafes are scattered thruout the neighborhood. The multilingual staff makes this place stand out. Trust me they are there to help you with any needs you may have
“Impressed”
Budapest was amazing, such a beautiful place and the food was lovely. Public transport is great, can get almost everywhere you want to go with ease. Would definitely go back.
