“Excellent mid range choice”
Very conveniently situated, friendly staff, a good place for a first visit to Cannes. Can be a little noisy overlooking the Irish Pub, but fine if overlooking Rue d'Antibes. A cheaper breakfast can be found in several nearby cafes.
“Little Convenient Hotel in the Heart of Cannes”
Everytime I go to Cannes for a short stay, and I don't have to impress anyone with a Croisette luxury hotel, I try to stay in this very well-managed, ideally-located, albeit quiet, establishment. The reception service is particularly good, gentle, attentive and personnel in general makes you feel welcome and taken care of.
“best choice for the price”
Small hotel; no front desk in the lobby,but staff very friendly and helpfull. Very good location in one of the main shopping streets in Cannes. Upon arrival, we have a room upgrade with a beatiful view of the sea. Breakfast is good and inexpensive.
“Good stay at Hotel Le Mondial”
Good location, helpful staff. I book very late before a busy conference and was happy with Hotel Le Mondial. Elena and Anis, the reception staff, were very helpful.
“Great Location / Hotel Showing its Age”
I've stayed here a few times now and the hotel is definitely showing its age and could use a rennovation - the rooms aren't dirty but the dated decor and colors add to it looking very old. The rooms are also small but that's normal for the area so for 2 people who aren't a couple it can get cramped! The best thing about the hotel is the location as it's in the heart of downtown Cannes within walking distance to many restaurants, bars and shops plus a short walk to the beach and Palais. (It's also a short walk to the train station.)
“People in receptionn”
My stay were quite ok but it is important that the people show some interest in their quest. People in the reception are not the most serviceminded I have met. On a question from me for help with posting some postcards I was met with an arrogant comment that the postoffice is just a couple of blocks away, as an example.
“Terrible Staff”
I had a terrible experience in this hotel. When I tryed to buy parking permit, the staff recommended the street parking because they have only 2 parking permits. Even though she explained the street parking is not irregal, I got a 35 Euro ticket. Hotel said French law is too complicated and ticket is my personal problem. If she just sold the parking permit for me, I would have satisfied in Cannes. And, this hetel is not a 4 Star hotel but a 3 Star hotel. In the lobby, you can see their family hotel brosher which explained this is one of the 3 Star hotel.
