“Old-fashioned Ski Lodge”
We stayed at the Mountain Inn for 3 nights, and found it a great place to stay at Killington. The Steak-House restaurant was superb, and it was a nice setting for free continental breakfast the next day. A small outdoor pool served as a reasonable hot-tub (100-102), and a small sauna was available. There is a reasonable size game-room. The Inn is located close to the lifts, but too far to comfortably walk...a shuttle runs every 20 minutes.
“Nice off-season location too!”
We really enjoyed ourselves at Killington, even in the summer its cold up in the mountains, our ears were popping as we drove up the mountain to the Inn. There was a gas fireplace in our room, very romantic, just wasn't able to turn it off & it got stuffy! Bathroom was immaculate! We were planning on going to the steakhouse, it was closed for the summer :( Not Good Bring your GPS, especially if your driving at night. Our GPS led us up the back ''Mountain road'', no lights, very dark long winding road up mountain..... scary, and I'm a country girl too! Dont take the first left up Mountain Road, take the next left closer towards Killington Village, better signage & lighting Word of advice; we arrived late in the Killington area & it was so difficult to find somewhere to eat, so bring snacks or get there early eve for if your planning on going out for dinner, everywhere was closed by 9.30pm - Arrraaaaggghhhh! We drove 30 miles to next town to find a resturant :( But all in all, it was a lovely trip Woodstock next town over is beautiful, class!!
“Very cozy and comfortable and very close to the slopes.”
I would definately go back and stay at this hotel.
“I will be back!”
We were very impressed with the Inn. It is beautiful, clean and well run by friendly staff. The breakfast selection was the best I have seen in a long time. The Santa Fe Steak House is excellent and it was perfect as we did not have to drive after a long day of skiing. We plan on returning next year and we are bringing a crowd.
“Fresh Mountain air at the Mountain Inn!”
This is a very pleasant hotel. Great location - not just for skiers! We stayed in 8 different hotels on our tour of Boston and New England; this hotel was one of the best. Easy to find with plenty of free parking. Free WiFi worked well at all times. Breakfast was standard American buffet fare of bagels/muffins and cereals etc - clean, tidy and well presented in dedicated breakfast room. The Santa Fe steak house was closed on our visit due to private party but found plenty of alternative restaurants. The staff were very friendly, helpful and professional and our room was exceptionally clean tidy & comfortable. We found previous reviews about poor decoration/condition to be invalid due to renovations (completed) but agreed with those stating "Thin walls". Out of ski season, the resort did lack a little atmosphere and many facilies were closed or closed early (oct) Great location as a base for touring "Greater Vermont" providing you have a car!!!
“Great value & staff”
Convenient location, friendly staff. Bathroom was a bit small but overall a good value.
“Relaxing Getaway”
Friendly Staff, Clean Rooms, Great Restaurant. A++++++
“Good place to relax”
This is a quaint type of hotel, right at the base of Ramshead and the base of Killington. If you're skiing, the location and convenience cannot be beat. There wasn't anyone at the front desk from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., which was bit surprising, but maybe that was only because I went in the off season. Overall, it is definitely recommended.
“Loved my stay”
I really enjoyed my stay at the Killington Mountain Inn. If you are looking for modern or luxurious, this is not the place for you. The decor was dated, but everything was spotless. The heated outdoor pool was great after a hard day of snowboarding. It is very close to the mountain, just across the parking lot. It was walkable but we did not try to walk with our gear. There is a bus to the lodge, stops right in front every 20 minutes. I enjoyed the breakfast (which is included). We ate dinner at their restaurant one night, it was one of the best steak and seafood meals my friends and I ever had. I would absolutely go back!
“Great hotel - we loved it”
The Mountain Inn at Killington was just wonderful. The rooms were neat and clean and the hotel staff was extremely helpful. The shuttle to the mountain was extremely convenient. The restaurant was pricy but the food and service were excellent. My husband and I enjoyed the live entertainment at the bar and the kids enjoyed the heated pool very much. We will definitely stay there again.
