An award-winning oceanside oasis, on the northern tip of the Isle of Palms, Wild Dunes Resort is a gated beach community comprised of the AAA Four Diamond-rated Boardwalk Inn Hotel, luxurious guestrooms and suites at the AAA Four Diamond-rated Village at Wild Dunes®, and a variety of individually owned and furnished vacation rentals.

Guests of this idyllic beach resort near historic Charleston can savor over 2 miles of pristine beach, as well as a year-round menu of activity options. Resort Guests have access to the 3 main resort pools (one of which is heated seasonally), fitness center facilities, bike and jogging trails, and complimentary transportation within the resort. Wild Dunes Resort boasts two championship Tom Fazio-designed golf courses, a tennis center with 17 har tru courts and instruction available, a salon with spa services, three pro shops, resort shopping, kids’ clubs, and organized recreation activities (surcharges apply). With six restaurants on property, dining options include an upscale restaurant with coastal cuisine, a casual restaurant serving contemporary American fare, a resort market, a deli, a bar and grill, and a seasonal beachfront café.

The Resort strives to accommodate the needs of the modern traveler. An assortment of convenience items may be purchased within the Resort from Hudson’s Market or one of our Resort shops. A business center is available onsite and guests may use the complimentary Wireless Internet access available in both guest service lobbies. In-room Wireless Internet access is available in the Boardwalk Inn and Village rooms. Vacation rental condominiums may or may not have in-room Internet access available.

The Boardwalk Inn, located in the core of Wild Dunes Resort, features 93 classically appointed guestrooms that have earned a four diamond rating from AAA every year since its opening. The plush furnishings and amenities of the Boardwalk Inn’s rooms and suites include wireless Internet access, daily housekeeping, in-room coffee, guest robes, in-room personal safes, hairdryers, deluxe bath amenities, 32-inch flat screen televisions, in-room dining option and complimentary concierge & valet service. The Inn is also home to the Sea Island Grill Restaurant and Lounge and a sparkling pool with cabanas. The ocean is just a short stroll down the landscaped boardwalk from the Boardwalk Inn terrace.

The Village at Wild Dunes is situated at the center of the resort’s activities, just next door to the Boardwalk Inn. Newly-furnished and AAA Four Diamond-rated, Village rooms & suites range from guestrooms to 3 bedroom suites, which provides maximum flexibility for your vacation. Village amenities include daily housekeeping, complimentary concierge and valet service, wireless Internet access, in-room dining, in-room coffee, in-room personal safes, hairdryers, deluxe bath amenities, flat screen televisions and more. The larger suites will also include washers and dryers, balconies and fully-appointed kitchens. The plaza level of the Village is home to the resort’s fitness center, boutique salon, Hudson’s Market, The Lettered Olive, Island Adventure’s Outfitters, business center, and Village guest service desk. Village accommodations are walking distance to resort pools as well as the ocean.

The condominiums are privately owned vacation rentals and each will vary in furnishings and location within the Resort. Our vacation rentals provide guests the added space to spread out and enjoy scenic views, while still receiving access to Wild Dunes Resort's facilities and abundant activity program. Condominium rental amenities include balconies, fully furnished kitchens (including a microwave, coffee maker, blender, pots, pans, dishes, and utensils), washer and dryer, television with cable, and a starter supply of soaps and toiletries. You may reserve accommodations ranging in size from 1 to 3 bedrooms; maximum occupancy for condominium and home rentals is 2 persons per bedroom of the accommodation, plus an additional 2 guests. “Charleston Visit”

Only stayed for two nights, however the room was very nice and more than large enough for a family of 5. It was a short walk to the beach, however weather was too cold to enjoy. No problem of the hotel though. There seemed to be a lot of traffic in the area surrounding the hotel even though it was during the off season but the rooms were quiet so it wasn't noticed as long as we were inside. Would definitely stay again.

“Beautiful, but pricey”

“Wild Dunes”

It is off season so most of the restaurants and shops were closed. Would love to go back and see it during the summer. The room was with a view of the grounds and very spacious. The grounds were gorgeous. The beach was very beautiful. Was a lovely day.

“Wild and Wonderful Dunes”

I turned out that it was slightly less money to get 2 studios in The Village than 2 King rooms in the Boardwalk Inn. What would have been best would have been a 2-br condo for us, but none were available. But we were lucky anyway because I was able to get these a few weeks in advance for what turns out to be the busiest week for Charleston, SC. Wild Dunes is like a town within a town.....on the Isle of Palms. This was a nice contrast for my daughters from staying in Charleston like previously; most places were already fully booked.

“My Happy Place”

This was our 4th visit to Wild Dunes. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa in The Village and it could not have been any nicer - everything was just beautiful. We relaxed on the beach which is our favorite part. We also went on the Dolphin Discovery boat ride which was great! The boat captain was extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife and ecosystems and the whole trip was fantastic! We highly recommend it. We love Wild Dunes and can't wait to go back!
