“Modern and nice hotel”

The rooms are absolutely great with new furniture and a clean appearance. The bathroom comes stocked with all those little sample/travel things (shampoo, lotion, shoe polish, toothbrushing set, etc.) They even give you a free bottle of water. I cannot say much about the city of La Spezia, since we used this place only as a starting point for trips to Portovenere and Cinque Terre. The hotel does not have its own parking, but there are lots of metered parking areas around. You can also ask for directions to a free parking area two blocks away.

all was good at this hotel apart from the room smelling of cigarette smoke when we arrived

“Just OK”

The Hotel is in a nice location, and the room was clean and nice. The lack of parking at the hotel is a major hassle and it can get very expensive to leave car in metered lots We found the reception desk personnel cold and unfriendly. The included breakfast was great. We did not spend much time in the local area, but there is a nice boardwalk across the street. Public transportation is within walking distance and easy to use.

“Marginal at Best”

Clean but run down. No parking. Located near god shopping. We found the staff very helpful. The bed was uncomfortable. Breakfast was great and the staff helpful. The star rating for this hotel was mislead to me.

“Not Impressed”

The hotel looks a bit run down and dingy - nothing like the images on their site. Our room looked like a college dorm room, and was about as comfortable as one too. It was a far stretch from the train station, so not one i would recommend to anyone planning to make daytrips to Cinque Terre. The hotel staff was extremely uninterested in their guests. I would not return.
