“poor customer service”
We chose this hotel mainly because it was inexpensive and it offered a fridge, microwave and iron, which we knew would be beneficial for our extended stay. The first night we asked for extra towels and got the third degree from the front desk on why we needed them and how we had better not be using the towels for swimming. The next day I needed an iron. There was not one in the room. I asked for one at the front desk, and then again two hours later and once more that afternoon. I was never given an iron. After leaving the hotel, we realized that our son had left his favorite souvenir in the room. I called and asked if they had found it. They said they would call me back. They didn't, so I called again. They of course said they would call me back and once again I have heard nothing. We will not go back!
“Not Impressed”
Pool was tiny and was more like a sauna than a pool. Pool water was more like bath water temperature wise. Not a refreshing dip to cool down. Room had dust in corners and found cereal on floor, which during my five day stay was never vacuumed up. The breakfast consisted of donuts, bagels, cold cereal, waffles, jucie and coffee.
“You get what you pay for”
The price was right but the neighborhood was a little scary. We were in the World Series Softball tournament so we had a team of 16 year old girls. One of our parents on the first floor was sitting on the couch and a man started to crawl in throught the window, she yelled at him and he said, "Sorry." She told the front desk and they said that they knew who did it and they would talk to him and they would have no more trouble from him. So, I imagine this was not the first time something like this had happened. We were on the second floor and always made sure that our windows were locked and if we left we took anything of any value with us. If we go back to the World Series next year we will stay in Columbus, Indiana. I would not recommend this hotel, pay a little more and feel a lot safer.
