"I visited during the off season, when Hotel Melissa was one of the few places to stay in the area. There is very little to do or see in Torre Melissa, but the weather was lovely and warm, the beach is beautiful and completely empty. I had a lovely conversation with the local fishermen who were emptying their catch while repairing their nets on the beach in front of the hotel. "I can't explain the feeling we had staying in such a historic and well preserved castle. It was exquisite! It was like staying in a museum but much more comfortable. I really wish I could have taken the tour given by the owner. Next time, I will. There isn't a bar or restaurant at this time. I am not sure why they are shown as amenities.
