“good value hotel”

This hotel is ideal if you are going to anything at the nec or any event at the richo stadium,it is only 5 mins from the nec,it has a good resturant and food is also served in the bar if you need a lighter meal.Rooms are very comfy and well equipped with all you need for a pleasant stay.

“GOOD CLEAN AND QUIET”

We have just returned from a weekend at this hotel and I am pleased to say that it was a stress free break from check in to check out.The hotel was clean tidy and warm,staff were helpfull and polite,the room was very well equiped and comfy although tv reception was a bit poor.We had a meal in the hotel restaurant and found it to be very good with very helpfull staff,breakfast was good with as much as you could want to start the day.The hotel is only 10 mins from the NEC so was ideal for our needs,it was also set back from the road so was very peacefull at night.All in all we had a very good experiance at this hotel and would go back again.

Very good hotel considering the price. Staff helpful. Rooms simply furnished but all we needed.

Happy in all areas except the comfort of the single bed in room 36. Very lumpy - mattress needs renewing!

Negatives - room was very small and breakfast choice for £10 was lacking (quality of what was there was good though) Positives - free car park - free wi-fi - nice ambience to the building - staff very friendly - lounge areas very spacious - easy to get to just off the main road - plenty of free TV channels. Its a low cost hotel and well worth every penny, good value for money

“Quality hotel review February 2012”

Overall the stay was a pleasant experience, the reception and kitchen staff were polite pleasant and helpful at all times. I found the bar prices were particularly expensive, the bed mattresss hard and not comfortable and nowhere to hang your clothes, no wardrobe just a small metal bar sticking out of the wall which was totally inadequate for purpose.

“Location great, refurb a little lacking, CHANGE the mattresses!”

The hotel is easy to find and in a conenient location. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The recent refurbishment as mentioned is a little lacking. Yes, the rooms have been done, but they should have also bought some new mattresses! The one I had was as cheap as you could get and the springs were sticking through it. Also the new large screen LCD TV wasn't working and an ancient replacement had been wheeled in. Anyway, I guess you get what you pay for and it was OK for the 2 nights I stayed.

“Not impressed”

Apparently the hotel had been refurbished in April but felt really dated. The woman at Reception didn't care whether we were there or not when we checked in, she just wanted to get back to her computer. She gave us our key,and that was that. I asked her about times of breakfast, checking out etc and she sighed heavily! There didn't seem to be a lift and it was a really long way to our room with our luggage and I am disabled. The room was so hot that we had to have the windows open but there was a disco going on in the evening until 1pm so could hear the music throughout. There was a delightful waitress in the morning who was a trainee, and she was polite and helpful. The others seemed just to be standing around in a group chatting. The cooked breakfast was grim, the fried eggs were like bullets and the toast was sitting there for ages, cold and hard.
