"This is a unique historic property with large, beautfully furnished rooms in Old Town Chania. The hosts are very gracious and moved quickly to fix a water problem that developed soon after we arrived. The breakfasts are really lovely and are served on unique china and silver dishes. It was wonderful to have a large parking space but it's very tricky to locate and then drive down the very narrow lanes to the end of the road. "Very friendly staff and courtyard. Room was clean and comfortable. Would have really liked coffee available at the property and more reliable wifi. Website said “coffee in common areas”, but I never found it, if available. Kettle, fridge, dishes in the room, but no coffee — even instant. For my 1-night stay, it was fine walking to a beach café for take-out ☕️. Wifi was an issue as trying to make arrangements with a group."

"My son and daughter and I had an amazing stay here. The hotel might be old but it is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We were looked after brilliantly and treated like family rather than guests. We could easily walk to a range of really good bars and restaurants and there is a massive supermarket five minutes walk away. Loved it."

"We stayed for 3 nights at the Lux Villa Ifigenia location in Theriso Village If you looking to stay in a very original, authentic home both unique and old-fashioned that is located in a very small and quiet village, this might be a good option for you. Be prepared though for 3 floor living, tight circular stairs, lots of antique decor and furnishings, base-only showers, inconsistent hot water etc. The AC and WiFi both work well though and there is off-street parking. "The staff, rooms and view were wonderful. This was the best place I stayed in Crete. The rooms had a small fridge, kettle, cups and plates, everything we need for our stay. It was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed and beautifully decorated room, so peaceful. I would definitely stay here again."

"This is a self-service hotel where you will receive the location and door code along with the key which associates to your room. The room had the basic necessities such as soap, towels and WiFi which were all I needed. The only issue I had was activating the A/C which did not work even after closing the window. Overall, I enjoyed Chania and TheJoy hotel and would come back again!"

"Our stay at Anotolia Charming was so amazing, the room and the service were both superb. Only a short stroll from the old port with shopping and restaurants and an amazing vibe all round. The lady at the desk was so helpful and assisted us with several local calls to retrieve some items we had left on another island - we can't thank her enough!!
