It was absolutely buzzing the whole time we were there - bands both nights, live sport in the day, but with the rooms being in a separate building out the back of the pub, it was amazingly quiet after the yard had been emptied. Clean throughout, staff were friendly."

"Wonderful place with friendly staff in a beautiful location. Restaurant menu had wide selection with interesting choices. Food was very good, rooms very clean, and beds very comfortable. Large beer garden. Couldn't ask for more."

Only criticisms were the pump / boiler / macerator / mechanical device that was ‘kicking in’ each hour or so for a couple of minutes (felt like we were on top of it) and Biffa collecting the glass recycling at 05:30 on a Bank Holiday Monday morning…😣"

"The room was a reasonable price, just not well thought out re layout. Shower was quite mouldy and the showerhead needed a good descale. It was also a tad noisy as it was almost in the car park. Service wasn't great - quite slow, and they seemed to be struggling with the 'system' but staff were all pleasant. "

"A lovely old Hotel with quirky decor, centrally situated in the town and convenient for shops and dining. Only slight downside was the limited parking which left you unsure of a space if you arrive late in the afternoon or evening. "
