"We actually stayed at the Crown Plaza Hotel since the HI Express was closed for renovations. The front desk clerk helped us find a Saturday evening mass and arranged taxi transportation to and from church. She was very persistent in making sure we were taken care of!"

"I love this hotel. It is quirky and old, but well maintained. The signage was improved this time, and I was able to find my room easily. On a previous stay this was not the case, and I wandered around a bit. My room faced an alley and it got quite noisy, especially early in the morning. The radiator and towel warmer appeared to have leaked a bit, but worked well.The staff are just lovely, always helpful. "

"Good hotel with transport links to the city, though the area itself has several food options there arent many ‘attractions’ to see in the vicinity of the hotel. Having said that, the river area is a 20 minute bus ride and the hotel staff, breakfast and room size is excellent. I would have liked a street view and not a view of a wall, albeit the art on the wall is great! Overall was a good stay, quiet and comfortable "

"Lots of parking, restaurant options and breakfast included with room (if you select that option). The hotel is old and a bit worn but my room and bathroom were clean and spacious. The pub dinner was good. Breakfast that was included with the room was decent as well. The staff is fantastic. Very friendly, attentive and professional. "

The concierges were extremely helpful and very friendly, and all front desk personnel were very friendly. The service felt very personal. "Overall the building was quite tired but the cleanliness of the areas and the rooms is can’t fault. Cleaners were great. Negative was my room looked onto train tracks and police car compound so couldn’t leave window open at night as too loud. Good position centrally in town although better to turn right out of hotel than left in evenings as local road to left wasn’t safest. "
