"We stayed one night as part of a cycle around the Island. The beds were comfortable, room was warm , ample breakfast and good cycle storage. One shower had very poor pressure and a door that didn’t shut properly. No shampoo and conditioner, just a body gel / shampoo that I would use on hair. Basic and just fine. "

"Very friendly restaurant staff. Reception team efficient and very helpful. Asked us about a ramp for my son's wheelchair anytime we came in and out of the hotel. Afternoon tea was an excellent experience. Since covid this is the 1st place that did housekeeping which really made us feel we were on a holiday. "

"Easy to get to, nice room, lovely bathroom, good car park. Lovely breakfast, only issue our name wasn't on the breakfast list and we were questioned by a staff member, she did let us start eating etc and the later confirmed we were on the list, she had an out of date list, this did make us feel uncomfortable and worried about our booking as we knew we had booked the breakfast. Magical place, great food very good value.

"I have wanted to stay here for some time. Finally got to do a pre Christmas stay. Our room was amazing, you get a real feel of the history of the building. A lovely warm welcome, with a welcome letter, giving some history of the hotel. Dinner was so good, a reasonable priced wine list and first class food. Breakfast which was included, so rare these days, and was very good. Really loved our stay and it will now be a place to return to, again and again. Would be a wonderful place for a wedding, family reunion, or any special occasion. Many thanks to the owner and wonderful staff for such a lovely stay."
