"This property is out of Panama City a ways but I wanted to be closer to the birding areas in the area. The hotel was likely a jewel in its day but the years are showing. The AC seems to be uncontrolled as other reviewers have noted. In my room, although I could set the temperature it just got colder & colder without regard to the thermostat setting so I had to turn it on and off manually. "Room was spacious and comfortable. Bed matress was hard, air conditioner and ceiling fan were outdate and made a lot of noise. Water seeps through shower door causing a puddle in bathroom. Towels are old but dry very well. Restaurant and bartender were excellent. Ask for Francisco at the bar, he make excelent drinks."

"This is the second night we stay and we're in a different room, it is very clean as the previous one and has all the same amenities. They were expecting us so the check in process was very fast. As this is our second stay, the neighborhood seems safe, and the hotel is very quiet. Also there's a mall nearby (2 min drive) where you can go to some restaurants (Taj mahalo was very good) and a supermarket. It's very close to the airport also (around 10-15 minute drive)"
