Complimentary hot and cold breakfast buffet, served daily in the Matrix Hotel’s Hospitality Suite, features fresh fruit, touch-of-a-button espresso or cappuccino, and assorted Danish, pastries, and cereals. Monday - Saturday evenings, the hotel hosts a complimentary wine-and-cheese reception for guests.
The business centre, open 24 hours a day, offers complete computer stations with printing capabilities and complimentary high speed internet access. The Matrix also features 6 conference spaces where you can gather with colleagues, encompassing a total of 800 square meters of meeting space.
The independently owned Wildflower Grill has a bar and serves award-winning New Canadian cuisine for lunch, dinner, and brunch. The restaurant has complimentary manager reception starting early each evening Monday through Saturday. And guests can always find their familiar latte in the hotel's in-house Starbucks franchise.
The hotel offers 24-hour fitness facilities. Please note that some age restrictions apply, as guests under 18 years of age are not permitted access to the fitness center.

Ranging from 268 to 442 square feet in area, the spacious guestrooms at the Matrix feature dramatic city views and plentiful amenities. All feature beds draped with pillowtop mattresses, premium cotton linens, and plush duvets. And each room comes equipped with a 32-inch LCD TVs with premium satellite channels. Wireless and wired high-speed Internet access are complimentary. MP3-compatible clock radios are bedside. Refrigerators and coffee/tea makers are also provided. Cribs/baby cots are available on request.
Private bathrooms include shower/tub combinations, bathrobes, designer toiletries, and hair dryers. Rollaway beds are not available.

“The Matrix. Truly in a class by itself.”
The hotel is exquisite. The rooms very nice. The service above and beyond (they gave me a bag of chips because I was starving from a late late flight). The only complaint I have is that they don't have a true breakfast. It's a deluxe buffet so I couldn't just have seat in a restaurant and enjoy an easy going breakfast. The food was good but I had to sit in a very weird area because they had no more tables left (buffet time I mean). Starbucks next door...helped a lot! The elevators are very secure...MUST have card to get to guest room floors. Very nice. The Expedia price was extremely reasonable for this hotel.
“Would go back!”
Our stay at the Matrix was wonderful! The hotel is very classy and extremely quiet. We stayed in the Sterling Suite which was roomy and comfortable. Our balcony was large and offered a place to sit out in the sun and relax. The continental breakfast was delicious as it offered more than the traditional free breakfast. The staff was both helpful and friendly especially since we were not familiar with Edmonton. The hotel is very secure as you are required to use your hotel card in order to use the elevator. The location of the hotel is extremely convenient if you are taking the LRT which goes directly to Rexall Place and Commonwealth Stadium. We would definitely stay there again.

“Contemporary Setting”
This hotel is different from the usual. I wasn't sure what to make of it when I arrived but I had a pleasant stay and liked the modern style. I'd stay there again.
“Really nice place to stay”
The breakfast buffet is the best complementary breakfast I've seen so far in the hotels I've visited! Didnt have to go to the wine tasting, but it seems a really nice thing for the professionnals in town for business! The room was super clean and the bed was comfie with plenty of pillows! Free Internet access and parking make this hotel a really affordable place to stay just downtown Edmonton! Would definately go back there and reccomand to anyone!

“Trendy & clean Edmonton Hotel”
The Matrix was a great hotel to stay in Edmonton. Close to many attractions and it's decor were the reasons why we would return.
“Very happy staying there. Will go back.”
The hotel is nice and clean. Location is great too. But needs to improve sound proof and get lids for cups. Don't just leave them facing down the countertop. Other than that it is a great place to stay.
“Great Boutique style hotel”
Great hotel for the price. Room and hotel is quite funky and new. I very much like the decor, and appreciate the boutique style hotel. They have a weeknight wine tasting that unfortunately ends too early for me to attend based on my arrival times, but also offer a free deluxe continental breakfast that I have enjoyed. Only issue in rooms would be to look at better lighting or lit mirror for makeup application, but otherwise I love the hotel and have booked twice in a row in the last month. Free parking and also free deluxe continental breakfast (if you are lucky enough to get there early it includes eggs benedict).
