“Gorgeous, interesting hotel; fantastic experience”
My boyfriend and I came here for a romantic weekend getaway, and I cannot tell you how impressed and pleased we were with our entire experience. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, expertly maintained and so rich in character. We stayed in the King Balcony and were thrilled with our room and the stunning view of the Ozarks. We had spa treatments at the New Moon Spa, which I would HIGHLY reccomend, and ate one night at Dr. Baker's Sky Bistro, which was delicious and very reasonably priced. They even let us take our drinks around while we explored the hotel grounds/area. We also did the ghost tour, which was so much fun and so interested! Expect more of a historic view than a purely creepy experience, but very, very cool and well worth the money. Would 100 percent reccomend this hotel to anyone looking for a unique, relaxing trip in a gorgeous area, with plenty of things to do onsite and in town.
“RAM1234”
Great staff and experience and beautiful accomodations. The bathrooms were a little small but overall excellent.
“Very satisfied”
My fiance and I had a wonderful time at this beautiful, historic hotel. It was clean, unique, and spooky in a good way.
“Great view”
Because it is an historic hotel, our room was a lttle small and the shower was a little hard to regulate. But this was a small price to pay for a great hotel and a wonderful stay.
“Once in a lifetime experience.”
The hotel and staff are wonderful. The Crystal Dining room has wonderful food, great ambiance, and extremely great service. The spa treatments and staff are as good as any 5 star resorts. If you're into haunted hotels, this one is the one for you. The ghost tour was so much fun. I was lucky enough to photograph many orbs and one apparition. I recommend this hotel to everyone.
“Definitely going back”
The overall feel of the hotel was wonderfully creepy and romantic. We went for our 2nd year anniversary and were very pleased to just relax around the hotel environs. Fantastic food, service, ambiance. If you feel like treating yourself, the spa is also excellent. It was a great place to be with your special someone.
“it's a MUST STAY if you're in the area”
We loved it. The history was absolutely facinating. Beautiful interior and grounds. Great place for a wedding, etc. Service was great. Restaurant was very nice also....Take the ghost-history tour on the night you stay.
“Experience of a lifetime!”
The 1886 Crescent was absolutely stunning! For a hotel with such history, it was in wonderful condition. Our room was suprisingly huge! The beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom was much larger than any chain hotel. I loved the old furniture in the room, and it even had a coffee maker (with awesome coffee!) and a hair dryer. My daughter and I went on the ghost tour, which was 2 hours long. It was pricey, but worth it to me. The tour guides were very knowledgable, and the history of the hotel was very interesting. We got some great orb pictures! We heard a child giggling, in the room next door, all night on the first night. Come to find out noone was in that room, and we were in the old cancer hospital's "children's wing". Loved the deck on the 4th floor, where you can go out and see the Christ of the Ozarks. The hotel offered shuttle service to downtown and we walked back. It was a great adventure just roaming the hotel. I cannot wait to go back! It was definitely an experience of a lifetime!
“Loved the Crescent- ghosts and all!”
We had a wonderful time at the Crescent. Full of history and great stories, great staff and services. Easy to get transportation. Felt safe and secure.
“Amazing Property”
My wife and I travel a bit and I am in the hospitality business. I must say that these people understand hospitality. We took the chance with this newly remodeled hotel and were extremely pleased. The accommodations were so much nicer than the cookie cutter style rooms you find at most chains and the staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. We arrived late and just wanted a quick bite to eat. John Paul's (the restaurant inside the hotel) was just perfect. We knew we were the last customers of the evening and that they probably wanted to go home, but they never made us feel that way. They went out of their way to make two weary travelers comfortable. We weren't rushed and the food was geat to boot. We will definitely be back.
