“Great”
Great experience. Will do it again. It is a bueatiful hotel and very relaxing place to enjoy and relax. We enjoyed the steak house resturant. The service and food was great.
“Great stay at French Lick Springs”
Great hotel with lots of character and history. We went skiing at Paoli Peaks and stayed overnight at the hotel. I was really impressed with the quality of building materials used in the hotel's restoration. The casino was a little smoky for our tastes, but I guess there’s nothing that can be done about that unless the state passes a ban on smoking in casinos. The power house bar was really cool and they had a band playing while we were there. Overall I'm really impressed with this hotel and would go back to it again, and would recommend it to others. Also, the staff was very friendly.
“French Lick Resort”
We had the best time. The hotel was so nice and the room were spacious and very clean. Many things to do. We REALLY had a nice time and plan to return.
“An ideal destination for fall color and ambience amid historical $.5 billion restoration”
We drove down from Chicago on a Sunday with another couple.for three nights to see the spectacular renovation of the French Lick Springs Resort and its sister resort West Baden Springs Spa. The guided historical tours at both resorts is like stepping back in time. Historical pictures along the wall in the expansive common areas depict the history, which predates the civil war. The diversity of things to do, pools, spa, restaurant facilities, and shops are all exceptionally well-maintained. The connected casino is geared more towards recreational players than "high rollers" with plenty of 1-cent, 2-cent, and 25 cent slots...plus the usual table games. Not to miss are the train 2-hour train ride through the Hoosier National Forest and a sunset dinner on the deck at Hagens overlooking the golf course...what a view! This was our first time using Expedia and the value we received in booking will have us checking Expedia on future trips to upscale destinations. Took !-70 west from Indianapolis to Cloverdale and south on US231 at the suggestion of the folks at French Lick. What a scenic drive! Not as fast as IN rte 37, but spectacular color and wide two-lane road, Took IN 37 to Indy gong back and stopped at Bluespring Caverns in Bedford for a 1-hour boat tour of the cave...what an effortless way to "explore" a cave! Overall, plan on at least three nights when visiting the area. The Expedia rate was not on our bill at check-out. Easily corrected by staff.
“Great getaway!”
We enjoyed the hotel, steak house and casino. The Frenchlick winery nearby was an added treat. It was close enough for a night to get away from the city and enjoy!
“Superb Stay”
When we pulled into the small town of French Lick, we were a little concerned. It was super tiny. But once we saw the hotel, we knew we had made the right choice. The hotel is stunning, especially the lobby. The rooms are luxurious and pretty large. The bed may have been the most comfortable thing my girlfriend and I had ever slept in. The indoor pool is quite nice and all the things to do inside the resort make the stay an easy sell. The bowling alley is cute, the restaurants are superb, and the shops are cool to look through. Truly a magnificent stay. WIll be back again and again. Only complaint: the hair dryers are awful. I could blow on my hair and get it dry faster. So don't forget your own hair dryer and all will be well in the world.
“Make time to visit!”
Very charming atmosphere. Hotel staff was very personable and friendly, as were all those working the casino. Rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. Had a great time. Would definitely stay again.
“Our minnie vacation”
Grand Old Hotel but very modern. Lots of restaurants, things to do. French Lick is a quaint small town which has had lots of work done to it and its just beautiful there. We are planning on going back in the near future.
“Like going to a fairy tale land.”
The hotel is simply beautiful! The marble columns, the lovely lighting fixtures, and painted ceilings made me feel like I was in another world. Our queen size bed was very comfortable. The room was quiet and very clean. There are many very good restaurants with lots of food choices. The ballroom where our concert was held was within walking distance. The casino was located within an adjacent building, so there was no getting out into the cold. You will be very pleased and surprised at what southern Indiana has to offer!
“Wonderful time!”
We arrived around 5:00 and had dinner at West Baden. Both hotels were friendly and professional. French Lick is a relaxing and beautiful place to visit. Housekeeping and room service is great!
