Room was clean. Staff was friendly and attentive. Convenient location. Would stay at again.

“Another Good Fairfield Inn”

This is the 3rd Fairfield Inn we have visited, and we'll go back to is when we visit Gainsville again. The staff members were extremely courteous; the complimentary Continental breakfst was more than we expected. The pool and workout room were small but ample . Finally, the location was easially accessed from I-75.

This hotel is centrally located. Close to the Mall, UF and lots of restaurants. Very clean and comfortable. It offers continental breakfast which was convenient. Friendly staff.

Stayed 3 nights for business because of the price. (less than many competitors). Was very pleased with the friendly service. Location was ideally located to restaurants and shopping. Breakfast included fruits, assorted breads and muffins, and hot breakfast sandwiches. Coffee was always hot.

“Comfortable Gainesville hotel”

Althogh it is not very close to town, the hotel is very clean, the rooms are comfortable and personnel was kind. We liked it!

“Nice hotel at a Reasonable Price”

We were very satisfied with our stay at the Fairfield Marriott in Gainesville. We got the room we wanted with a king size bed that was extremely comfortable. The clerk at the front desk was very polite and professional. There was a bit of a delay in checking in due to a problem with our request to pay cash for the incidential expenses rather than putting them on a credit card which throw the clerk for a bit of a loop. In his defense he admitted it was his first time alone on the desk and he did make use of the phone numbers he apparently had available to him to get help in resolving the problem fairly quickly. There was also two very large bags of trash left lying in the corridor by our room. They were there when we arrived and still there when we checked out the next day. The rest of the premises were clean and appealing. Lastly, the room had a unpleasant smell to it when we first arrived but after we turned the air on and it ran for a while the odor dissipated. A room deodorizer would probably eliminate this problem.

“Tardiness in maintenance”

I asked one of the asst managers to have a slow running shower drain and a loose sink faucet repaired on a Wednesday. Nothing done Thursday. I reminded them about it Friday as I was leaving. This was the first bad experience I've had at this location.

Hotel room was fine. Free internet service was a plus. Proximity to a local mall + restaurants a plus. The only thing that bothered us was the timing of our visit to Gainesville with a large group of high school basketball students staying overnight. We could definitely hear running back and forth from the room upstairs and also outside our door around 2am. Also, if you plan on having breakfast, try to do so after that crowd has disappeared. Finally, if you can, get a room facing away from the highway to cut down on the freeway traffic noise.
