“Good hotel in handy location.”
Good hotel. Clean and well maintained. Friendly service. Quite handy for main sites, probably about 15 minutes from Cathedral.
“Top breakfast”
This hotel was one of the nicest we have stayed in. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was very comfortable and the breakfasts the best we have had anywhere. There was a superb choice, including a wide selection of fresh fruit (always my acid test of hotel breakfasts and one which many fail!) The location was rather noisy at times, but being on a main street in a busy city this was not surprising. It never stopped us sleeping. We ate in the restaurant one evening and had a superb meal, which included a free glass of sherry. The price compared very favourably with other restaurants in town. We would certainly go back.
“Comfortable and great location”
The location is great. The room was large and comfortable, though I was not satisfied with the decor. The hotel's restaurant was pretty and elegant, the service superior and the food good and unexpensive.
“Lovely older hotel”
The hotel is maintained very well but could use a bit of sprucing up. The furnishings in the rooms are dated though well maintained but it wouldn't hurt if the upholstery was redone. The bed was very comforttable. The only real negative was that our room faced the street and the hotel hosts a number of affairs that go on until well after midnight. When the people go out front to smoke or whatever they do, the sound was as if they were in our room. Though I would recommend the hotel, I would suggest asking for a room that doesn't face the street.
“great location”
This hotel was very affordable.it was in a great location.Very close to drop off and pick up for airport.
“Excellent choice”
The location of the hotel was perfect - close to all the happenings. The hotel itself is lovely and comfortable, the personnel friendly and helpfuul and the price is right!
“Almost All I Could Want”
I'm biased: I love Granada. My recent 5 day stay at the Tryp Albayzin only served to reinforce that bias. The building itself is attractive, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast was generous, fresh, and tasty. Best of all, the staff was remarkably friendly and helpful, including giving directions when needed and helping us to arrange for an excellent tour of the olive oil country. The only drawback, if it is a drawback, is the location; Tryp Albayzin is a little further from the central "action" than I would have preferred. Even so, the area was nice and certainly felt safe. And, the walking distances were quite achievable. Short version: I do a lot of traveling, and I really like this hotel. It is definitely on my "recommended" list!
“Excellent Accommodations”
The Tryp hotel is a great place to stay....super clean, great location and excellent staff. They do not have a concierge to book activities, so, I did not rate the service a 5, but ALL of the employees are kind, attentive and competent, the restaurant is above average for a hotel like this. The hotel could use a little modernization, but it is perfectly maintained, very clean, and I highly recommend this place to any and all. the neighborhood is particularly nice to access the city of Granada, The Alhambra and surrounding Sierra Nevada Mountains.
“Excellent hotel near to the heart of Granada”
Staff at the hotel were welcoming and very helpful. Our room was comfortable, clean and well serviced. On departure we were helped to go online on the hotel computer to obtain our e-tickets. The hotel was situated a short walk from the city centre and was very well placed for the main shopping centre, the cathedral, riverside walks and theatres. Hotel itself was on a tree lined avenue - the well known store El Corte Ingles was 2 minutes walk away. The bus from Granada airport dropped and picked us from an adjacent street- again just 2 minutes away from the hotel. Overall, a trouble free and relaxing holiday at a lovely hotel.
“Very good value”
We stayed for 1 week over new years eve. I believe it was great value and I would definitely return. It was at the lower end of the 4 star scale but so was the price. The rooms were good except for the noise transmission, the mornings were very noisy! The only thing lacking was probably the service I often struggled at the doors laden with bags while the staff looked on from behind the counter. Also the cleaners didn't take note of the 'do not disturb' sign and often burst into the room before I could get to the door.
