“great location, price and people”
This was a great place to stay. The staff was very helpful and answered all kinds of questions. The shower was not well "contained" so the bathroom got wet whenever you showered but other than that it was nice. The hotel seems to be in the center of everything. We were able to walk to just about anywhere in the city. There were no "surprises" on the pricing and the cards that they sold for phone and internet were pretty cheap. I would definitely stay here again.
“euro hostel- glasgow”
nice for a hostel, you get your own bathroom. but there is just a bunk bed and its squeeky ( if you book a twin room).
“Stay for a cheap hotel.”
In the verge of hostel/hotel. Meaning it is all a hostel you would want to be. Cheap, clean, with personal vaults in the rooms and personal rooms (1,2,3,4 occupants). It is also a not so good hotel, the rooms are small, ugly, instead of queen beds you get singles, you have to pay to use the tv, etc. However, for me cleanliness comes before comfort, and that makes this hotel an excellent choice for the price.
“Good hotel for a no frills place to stay.”
Good hotel for a no frills place to stay. No phone. Bring your own travel alarm. TV is one pound for four hours but you should be out seeing Glasgow or Edinburgh anyway. Right next to Central Train Station (not a noise factor) and near many restaurants and bars. George Square, the center of town, is a quick 15 minute walk. Public transportation is great with buses, trains and a good subway, all nearby. Take the 905 bus from the airport. It is just five pounds roundtrip. BE AWARE - the UK is very expensive now that the value of the dollar is so low. A pint of Ben and Jerry's ice cream is 4 pounds fifty, or about nine dollars!
“I would stay there again”
The rooms aren't as clean as a hotel but for the price you pay it was worth it. Staff is friendly and the security of the hostel was great. Perfect location. Lots of travelers. Make sure you book early as it fills up on the weekends. It was nice having a bar right in the hostel.
“Just for one or two nights”
The hotel has a great location, it's really almost 2 or 3 blocks from the train station that leaves you there from preswick airport... its right in the corner... it was perfectly located, but it wasn't that impressive, the matresses, weren't that clean, but the linen was impeccable... i'd go back just for the location.. and the breakfast that's included is just toast and cereal, but fou 1 poun you can buy a good sort of mcmuffin.... quite good.. the service was nice... Check in is at 3 pm.. so it was realy late, but you can pay to make it earlier...
“A typical hostel”
This hostel was pretty typical. The only problem I had was our room smelled of urine. My cousins' room did not, so I do not think it is indicative of the hostel as a whole.
“OK Hostel”
It was, after all, a hostel, but this was the noisiest one we've been to. There was a club at the bottom, but that wasn't bad. People liked to hang out in the halls and chatter quite loudly late at night. Of course, the sound comes right in. Also, the beds were uncomfortable. Other than that, fine price and location. Breakfast was very basic and fine.
“Euro Hostel”
Constant disturbance at 4am in the morning and no apology. No room keys, broken radiator. Living room and bar good though
