“Night a casino”
Excellent stay. Perfect for a trip to Foxwoods. Staff was nice. The breakfast had a good selection.
“Great Hotel”
Hotel staff very accommadating, room very comfortable - the continental breakfast was just fair. They ran out of coffee, choices very limited.
“Nice place to stay near casinos, but reasonably priced”
We enjoyed staying at the Americinn, it was clean and comfortable.It was a very short ride to casinos and provided a nice overnight stay so we did not have to drive all the way home.I would stay there again and for a few more nights, to enjoy the comfort and ammenities.
“Extremely Pleased!”
My wife and I spent a night here and took the hotel shuttle to the casinos. The hotel was really clean and well kept. The staff was extremely helpful and professional. They went out of their way to make sure that we enjoyed our stay and went beyond my expectations. Their private shuttle that runs on Friday & Saturday evenings is really convenient, and as long as you let them know when you would like to go and come back they will make sure you are on it.
“Really good”
All the ementities were nice, we enjoyed the excersice room, the pool and the spa. The breakfast was alright. Good as far as continental breakfast go. The staff was quick to respond to any problems (ie coffee ran out). There were quite alot of people eating the breakfast. The rooms were clean and quite.
“Would definitely stay again”
Everything was exactly as described. The woman who checked us in was very nice and allowed us to have a late checkout. The hotel and room were very clean. Our main reason for staying there was to go to a concert at foxwoods. The hotel was only 10 minutes away which was perfect especially since we were running late trying to get our outfits together. There is a 24 hour walmart and target 2 minutes away! This was very convenient. We did not wake up in time to try the breakfast. Overall we had a great stay. No problems at all.
“Will definitely go back!”
We enjoyed our three night stay at the AmericInn, Griswold. From the cozy fireplace adjacent to the lobby, comfort and cleanliness of our room, the heated pool and hot tub (which, unfortunately, was not heated due to a lightening strike), to the convenience of access to both Foxwoods & Mohegan Sun Casinos. We are looking forward to our next visit.
“Great Getaway for a weekend”
Everything was in pristene condition. Service was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful...Surounding towns were quiet,but the secenry was beautiful...a great get away from it all site. Loved the waffles in the morning.Nothing bad to say about our stay.....
“I'm going back.”
I had the best time at this hotel. Although part of a national chain, it has the feel of a family-owned and -operated establishment, which can only be attributed to its staff and management. They responded to special requests, and were helpful with both recommendations for touring and dining, and with directions thereto. The pool and hot tub were very enjoyable, particular since they were open until midnight every day of the week, which is most convenient for those of us to spend the day AWAY from the hotel doing what tourist tend to do. (I only wish it was open at 6 am instead of 7.) Although located in a relatively unpopulated area (which probably contributed to its reasonable rate), it was centrally located to those places which I visited. I have every intention of returning when I revisit Connecticut in the fall.
“Great for the price”
Nice place. Can't beat it for the price. Fresh waffles in the morning was a nice touch. I would stay their again. Also, had an incident with very roudy crowd above us. It was handled quickly.
