From the first moment we stepped into this hotel until we left, we just had excellent service. The staff were really friendly and helpful. we also enjoyed the lovely setting.

“A great comfortable and relaxing stay”

A holiday to see family and friends. Staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. The food was good. The location was excellent. The room was larger than expected with a little fridge to keep food/drink fresh. The room service was very prompt. The room was very nicely decorated and very clean.

“Nice but dated”

The staff were fantastic - very pleasant, helpful and friendly. The room was fine and large but the decoration is extremely dated (and not in a retro-chic or olde worlde sense) - we found the patterned carpet, patterned curtains and violent orange bed covers rather migraine-inducing. It seems a shame when the building and views are lovely. The pictures were also dreadful - I was surprised that Best Western don't buy these centrally. The breakfast was good and generous, although we were less impressed with the evening menu - too many dishes and rather 1970s. We ate in the bar and my pizza still had a cold centre and unmelted cheese on top, which, given that it cost as much as Pizza Express, seemed a bit much. However, overall it was pleasant, warm (too warm!) and efficient. It was also in a great location, easy to walk to the town centre and quiet. I would recommend it to friends who weren't too upset by poor interior design.

“Worn and torn...”

The hotel staff has been very friendly and the facilities (swimming pool, whirlpool and saunau) were very nice and clean. Unfortunately the hotel room itself left a lot to desire for...The bathroom was mouldy, toilet not probably installed, leaking taps, cracked tiles, bedroom furniture very worn and torn...not really what you would expect for a the price we've paid...
