Location: This place is a stone’s throw from Hakone Ropeway and the bus station is also there. Very close and convenient. Onsen: very nice onsen, good amenities, definitely try the outdoor onsen which is beautifully lit at night. During the day we could see the autumn leaves which was also beautiful. Room: small and cosy but very comfortable futon and pillows. Common toilet is very clean. Food: good dinner and breakfast but the main dish (fish) for dinner was disappointing as it was overcooked and thus dry. But miso soup, rice, dessert was free flow buffet style which was good. Breakfast is also buffet style and the croissants were surprisingly good, esp given this isn’t a specialised bakery. Try the solidified yoghurt with berry compote, that was unusual and yummy. Others: They will also offer discounted fare on Hakone pirate ship.

Highly recommend staying at this hotel! Very close to the ropeway and sightseeing cruise. There is also a bus stop directly in front of the hotel. Would recommend to make dinner reservations, the food was fantastic!

A gorgeous location just by the Ropeway that takes you up the mountain above and the pier with pirate ships on the lake. Staff were lovely, room was japanese style so spare but quiet and comfortable.

Perfect ryokan getaway!
Great onsen & sauna! Really delicious food too!! The breakfast is delicious & the kaiseki dinner blew our minds. They even made a special one for us since we told them we don’t eat meat. The free coffee & cocoa after four and the free cookies & tea in the room is a bonus!! Perfect location for boat tour and transportation! Highly recommend!!!

Pros: The Tatami room was spacious, rolled out the futon and still had space for the coffee table and luggage (for 2). Toilet comes with the room that specifically states there is a toilet in the room, alternatively one on each floor. The onsen had and indoor and outdoor tub, as well as two single person tubs (outside). Woman and mens bath separated, equipped with amenities like face wash, cleanser, moisturiser and hair dryer, etc. Souvenir shop attached, very convenient to pick up some last minute gifts. Lots of hiking paths available. Hakone Ropeway to Owakudani Station and beyond a short walk away. A few local specialties and souvenirs close by. Cons: There is NO lift! Please bring what you can carry. All the restaurants closes early in the day! Please make the reservation with in the hotel before 4:30pm or bring food back. The hotel is far into the mountain, please expect a lengthy ride.
