The staff were so friendly and welcoming, we felt really comfortable here straight away. Debra checked us in and was so sweet, it really made our night. The location is great and the room was clean and well equipped. Thank you!

Beware travelers! My booking was prepaid weeks before through expedia and yet they charged me a $250 "damage deposit" when i arrived. When i checked out they said it was a pre-authorization and my card wasnt charged. NOT TRUE! I was charged and i still havent received my credit! They won't return my calls when they say they will and when i call back they leave me on hold forever and then just hang up! Totally incompetent staff! Never again!

We understand that you are upset at the thought of having been charged, however, you have not been charged. The pre-authorization was cancelled on the day you checked out(Oct. 8). No charges were made to your credit card by our hotel. Depending on the credit card company, a cancelled pre-authorization can take a few days to be processed. You were informed of this when you called. You may want to check with your credit card company as to its procedures.

Our room was on the ground floor which is like a basement as the hotel is on a slope so the second floor is the main floor, it did feel like a basement to, we were only there one night so didn’t ask to be changed to a higher floor. The bed was ok the pillows were awful totally flat, the room was quite dusty.

We liked the bed, the washroom layout, the shower and especially liked the quality and price of the breakfast. We also liked the location. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is dated and doesn’t have a working bar which would have been nice. Also room cleaning was very haphazard — bed half made and water on the bathroom floor.

The room felt very unsafe. Was located directly next to an outside patio area on the ground level. We checked in late at night, so when we entered our room and turned on the lights, the random guest outside smoking was able to watch us get in and awkwardly double check the door/windows and shut all the curtains. Double checked the sliding porch door, doesn’t seem to lock well and can open a tiny bit even with the latch on. The security bar is broken on it, so there is a piece of wood there to stop someone from outside getting in.
