Nearby there is a major road/ motorway so there was very low level background noise. Didn't keep me awake but it might do in summer if you had have windows open as no air conditioning. To get to lifts you have to go down steps. Hopefully there is accessible option as well! Would stay again but not if...

"The St Ives is a really family friendly hotel. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The kids entertainment was very good. If I had one critique it would be that the £9 charge for a kids meal is quite expensive for a two year old. Maybe under 5’s should eat for less? It didn’t spoil our break though. "Thought outside was scruffy and looked un cared for. Slopping windows in reception looked ready for replacing, impacted on view as looked to have 'blown'. Staff were a credit, especially reception and maintainence man. Dark settee area ,very bland, poor lighting, no cushions nor greenery. Entertainer on saturday 25 may was excellent. Despite our comments we would certainly visit again. Thankyou to you all, we had a very enjoyable stay. "

"Another amazing stay at The Spa Hotel, Ribby Hall. This was our third and probably best visit of all. The spa wasn’t overly busy, and the rain stayed away long enough to really enjoy the outdoor jacuzzis and enjoy a nice cold beer. We stayed on the Aqua Thermal Journey overnight stay with dinner allowance. The food was delicious as you’d expect from a high standard hotel. "Clean, comfortable, friendly staff. Great food menu. Fab breakfast. Stayed here a few times, and they always remember me. Easy walk to Preston town centre. One of the best hotels I have stayed in. Shame they don't take cash anymore. Not a complaint as such, but I don't like the way we are drifting into a cashless society. "
