the lato boutique is a wonderful treat! we were very pleased with our room, the comfort and cleanliness.parking our rental car was not an issue because the staff seemed to sweep you out of the vehicle and into the lato.everyone associated with lato boutique was most friendly, going out of their way to offer advice on our next little excursion and giving directions.our in room service was excellent as well as our meals, to be blunt the food was great!the lato is located so one can walk to the city center in a few minutes or across the street to take a stoll on the quay past the old fortress which in the evening is quite enjoyable.thank you lato boutique for our experience!

“Very comfortable and welcoming”

Lato, I'm convinced, has the most comfortable bed in Crete. The staff was really helpful and lovely. The breakfast was great and reasonably timed (didn't close too early). The interior design, too, is exemplary. It's close to everything and our balcony had a fabulous view of the harbor.I wish I was there now instead of this crappy, uncomfortable hotel in Rethymno!

“Downtown Heraklion”

The Lato Boutique hotel is situated in an excellent location, close to the harbour, the bus station, the taxi rank and many attractions. Heraklion's centre is as labyrinthine as the legendary site of Knossos, but the Lato hotel is easy to find and convenient for the bars, clubs, restaurants and cafes of the main gathering places. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good, with a wide selection of cold buffet foods and some hot favourites. The Brillant restaurant is well-appointed and very reasonably priced for a traveller using Sterling. There is of course no pool as the hotel is sited in the centre of the city and the city itself lacks swimming facilities. The archaeology museum, Venetian Koules fort,natural history museum and historical museum are all within 10 minutes' walk. Being removed from the pedestrian area the locality is not noisy at night. A very pleasing hotel in a good location, and excellent value for money.

“Perfect Location”

This is a mid-sized hotel about a minute from the the harbour. The hotel has an annex across the road and if you want quick and easy access to the restaurant and the mini-gym then perhaps specifying that you want to stay in the main building may be a good idea. Having said that, the annex appears to be a newer building. Our room was small but very comfortable and well appointed; there was a balcony with a table and chairs. The room did not contain a kettle although there is a fridge and mini-bar. The breakfasts are outstanding with an enormous selection of hot and cold food including fruit. The evening restaurant, The Brilant, is very good if a wee bit expensive compared with other restaurants in town. On the roof is Herbs' Garden serving a similar menu, snacks and drinks. We really enjoyed our stay and must especially commend the reception staff who were unfailingly helpful with suggestions and information about Heraklion and the surrounding area.

“Would stay again”

The Lato Boutique Hotel is in a great location. It is within easy walking distance to the town centre with tourist plazas/streets where there are lots of shops & restaurants, the harbour and also to the ferry docks. The room was clean and comfortable and had a lovely view of the harbour. It also had a small balcony. The staff were polite, helpful and efficient. Breakfast was good. The room had everything you need including a fridge and free wireless internet. We stayed here for two nights and would definitely recommend Lato Boutique Hotel as a great place to stay.

“Great location and value”

This hotel is in an excellent location and the staff were very helpful and friendly. My single 'superior' room was quite small but it was great to have my own balcony. Good value for money and very good amenities.

“Excellent hotel in a great location”

The hotel is ideally located near to the bus station, and within an easy walk of all parts of the Heraklion. It is five minutes walk away from the bar and street cafe area, so is quiet. The hotel is excellent, the staff friendly and helpful, and the breakfast amazing. There is a great view from the rooftop restaurant (though the food is pricey). Would not hesitate to stay there again.

“Nice hotel, friendly service.”

Great location, clean rooms and friendly service. On our first night, we did not get the room that we had booked and had rather a small room with a very cramped bathroom. However, seaview rooms do have very nice views and are nicely furnished and decorated. On the second night we were upgraded to the executive suite, which is a beautiful room, so very happy.

“Modern boutique hotel with fantastic view”

Our room had a fantastic view facing the Venetian port and Venetian fort. The room was a little small but very clean and well maintained with working air-conditioner and free wi-fi. The staff were all very friendly and helpful too. The only minor complaint we had was that the shower enclosure did not close properly and theree was always some water leak, but all in all, we are very happy staying there and would certainly recommend it to anybody visiting Heraklion. The location cannot be faulted. Easy reach to the town centre including the main attractions, the main bus station, and the port.

“Great views and location”

This hotel is situated within walking distance to all the major sites in Heraklion(archeological museum about a 5 minute walk- do not miss, although museum is under renovation and some of frescoes not on display). You must get a room overlooking Venetian harbor. With a glass of ouzo, a piece of feta cheese, sitting on your balcony is a world class event. The rooms are on the small size, pretty typical for this part of the world. Free internet access!!
