"Great place to stay if you want to experience a more traditional Japanese hotel. You can’t beat the location as the Atomic Bomb Dome is right outside the door, and the ferry to Miyajima is only about 3 minutes walk away. The staff are lovely too!"

"The staff was exceptional. They graciously made follow-up phone calls relating to a lost mobile phone and assisted us in locating it. Great location. Adequate accommodations. The major negative was the pungent smell in the room. It smelt like cooked cauliflower, which we mitigated by opening the windows and using air freshener."

"This is an old merchant house that has been nicely remodeled as a hotel. It's smack in the middle of Tomonoura's historic renewal district. The room I had was spacious, comfortable, and nicely designed. This hotel requires some pre-planning: getting the shuttle bus from Fukuyama, making sure basic needs are met (no onsite staff, except at breakfast time).
